📢 What you should know about the recent #tollreform in #Germany 🚛 🇩🇪 On 1 July 2024, a key road traffic change came into effect in Germany: vehicles weighing more than 3.5 tonnes became subject to tolls for the first time. This follows another change made on 1 December 2023: a surcharge imposed on top of the toll for commercial vehicles in Germany. The amount of the charge is based on the number of kilometres driven plus the weight and emissions class of the vehicle. Through our toll solutions, however, #tollprocessing remains quick and easy: - UTA One®/UTA One® next: Pass through toll stations in multiple countries automatically, without stopping. Entries and exits are recorded by the toll device. - UTA Card: Book a toll for specific routes online or via the Toll Collect app. - The Toll Collect OBU uses GPS satellite data to determine routes travelled and calculates toll charges based on the data entered. The OBU must be installed by a Toll Collect service partner once the vehicle has been registered with Toll Collect.
