What a great work and fantastic overview of Venture Client software tools by Frederic Pampus. Yes, next to our main goal of establishing THE procurement and purchasing compliant Venture Client tender marketplace (and therefore also part of the OS for VCUs, even if others claim this 😉) we also provide scouting services if needed by challenge-addressing companies. But let's be honest: How much convincing do you need to do with a start-up if it is clear from the outset that a company's tender associated with venclÿ also involves an implementation budget?

The market for venture clienting solutions is growing and companies can choose from a variety of options. But when to use what? For starters, the answer often is "use, what you already have". Yet, sometimes there is good reason to take a look at more specialized solutions. And since this is question I get asked regularly, here's a high-level overview of options I usually recommend: 1) General purpose project management software, that allows for managing PoCs, like Trello, Teams or AirTable 2) Innovation management software, that integrates dedicated processes and roles, like Itonics, Bloomflow or Hype Innovation 3) Startup databases, that enable venture clienting units to find the right solutions, like dealroom, Pitchbook or Tracxn 4) Scouting solutions, that are enabled by network or tech, like PlugAndPlay, Ambivation or Venture OS 5) Specialized venture clienting providers, that leverage inhouse software, like Combient Foundry, 27pilots or GlassDollar General rule of thumb: - The higher the number of PoCs you want to run, the more beneficial specialized solutions will be. - The higher the availability of skilled internal staff, the more efficient is using software-only. 💡 Venture Clienting is all about moving fast and testing solutions via PoCs. Adapt the same logic when choosing your software stack and run corporate-startup collaborations effectively. → What software or software-enabled service is missing? 👏 Add it to the comments and I'll update the stack! 💬 What software do you use?
