WEICON honoured with SME award On Saturday, we were honoured with the SME Grand Prix 2024 in Düsseldorf. The award gala of the Oskar Patzelt Foundation took place under the motto ‘With confidence towards the future’ as part of the 30th competition for the ‘Großer Preis des Mittelstandes’. More than 300 entrepreneurs took part in the event in Düsseldorf. ‘Normally, companies are nominated over several years and receive an award if they develop positively. We were recognised as a finalist right from our first nomination in 2023 and won the Grand Prix on our second participation - that is very rare. This makes us very happy and confirms that WEICON is on the right track,’ says Ann-Katrin Weidling. Competition criteria The participating companies are judged according to five criteria: Overall development of the company, creation/security of jobs and apprenticeships, modernisation and innovation, commitment to the region and service and customer proximity. Only companies that demonstrate outstanding performance in all categories are honoured for their commitment. WEICON mit Mittelstandspreis ausgezeichnet Am Samstag wurden wir in Düsseldorf mit dem Großen Preis des Mittelstandes 2024 ausgezeichnet. 🏆 Unter dem Motto "Mit Zuversicht Richtung Zukunft" fand die Auszeichnungsgala Großer Preis des Mittelstandes | Netzwerk der Besten der Oskar-Patzelt-Stiftung im Rahmen des 30. Wettbewerbs um den „Großen Preis des Mittelstandes“ statt. Mehr als 300 Unternehmer*innen nahmen in Düsseldorf an dem Event teil. „Normalerweise werden Unternehmen über mehrere Jahre nominiert und erhalten bei positiver Entwicklung eine Auszeichnung. Wir wurden direkt bei unserer ersten Nominierung 2023 als Finalist ausgezeichnet und haben gleich bei der zweiten Teilnahme den Großen Preis gewonnen – das kommt sehr selten vor. Das macht uns sehr glücklich und bestätigt, dass WEICON auf einem sehr guten Weg ist.“, so Ann-Katrin Weidling. Wettbewerbskriterien Die teilnehmenden Unternehmen werden nach fünf Kriterien beurteilt: Gesamtentwicklung des Unternehmens, Schaffung/Sicherung von Arbeits- und Ausbildungsplätzen, Modernisierung und Innovation, Engagement in der Region und Service und Kundennähe. How do we as a company live our corporate values? Our “Cultural Development” project recently entered the next round. Last year, our cultural ambassadors (at least one person from each department) got together and thought about how we can build and strengthen our corporate culture at WEICON. In addition to exciting discussions and group work, concrete measures were also developed 👩💻. Over the next few months, there will be regular workshops in the group to develop further ideas and implement the measures 💡. We are excited to see how our corporate culture will develop over the next few years 🤩! Wie leben wir als Unternehmen unsere #Unternehmenswerte? Vor kurzem ging unser Projekt "Kulturentwicklung" in die nächste Runde. Bereits im letzten Jahr haben unsere Kulturbotschafter*innen (mindestens eine Person aus jeder Abteilung) sich zusammengesetzt und überlegt, wie wir bei WEICON unsere #Unternehmenskultur aufbauen und stärken können.
