A Milestone in Obesity Treatment: The New S3 Guidelines Set Standards for Modern Therapy Options The recently published S3 guidelines mark a major step forward in the treatment of obesity – a strong signal for innovation and patient safety. 🎉 1. Medication-Based Therapy Recognized: For the first time, the active ingredients Liraglutide and Semaglutide are officially recognized as part of obesity treatment. These so-called "weight-loss injections" not only aid in weight reduction but also support long-term weight management – a meaningful expansion in treatment options. 2. E-Health as a Key Component: The new guidelines highlight the role of digital therapy solutions, such as our obesity-treatment-platform GoLighter.de, which can significantly enhance treatment outcomes. Studies show that E-Health solutions not only support weight loss but also strengthen long-term success through targeted follow-up and digital support. 3. Focus on Safety and Trust: People affected by obesity now have a reliable framework to guide their treatment. However, these therapies should always be conducted under medical supervision. "The association's recommendations align with the results we have seen in over a year of treatments on GoLighter.de: Liraglutide and Semaglutide offer effective support for long-term weight control," explains Dr. Sven Jungmann, "With these guidelines, digital platforms like GoLighter now receive an 'official seal of approval' – an important step in guiding consumers towards trusted options and ensuring therapies are conducted safely." With these developments, an important precedent for the future of obesity treatment has been set. Together, we continue to work toward reducing stigma in obesity treatment and providing everyone with access to the best possible therapies! 💜 #Obesity #S3Guidelines #GoLighter #EHealth #MedicalInnovation #PatientSafety #WeightLossInjections #Health #FutureofHealth

📢 Empowering Women Through Information and Reproductive Rights 📢 The FRAUEN100 initiative has taken a significant step toward improving women's health in Germany, and we at Wellster Healthtech Group are proud to support it. Together with Prof Mandy Mangler, a valued member of our Medical Board, we have co-signed an open letter to the German Federal Government, calling for the repeal of restrictive regulations like HWG §9 and §10. But what do these regulations actually prevent? The HWG §9 and §10 laws place limitations on how medical products like the morning-after pill can be advertised and communicated. Specifically, they: 🚫 Restrict public information about over-the-counter medications, creating barriers to awareness about essential products. 📚 Limit educational outreach by prohibiting manufacturers from sharing detailed information on the safe use of medications like the morning-after pill. ❌ Perpetuate misconceptions, such as the belief that emergency contraception is an abortion pill, when in fact, it only delays ovulation. This lack of accessible information has serious consequences: 📊 73% of people don’t know that the morning-after pill is available over-the-counter. ❓ Almost 50% of women mistakenly think it's an abortion pill. 🤦♀️ The result is stigma and confusion around emergency contraception, limiting women's ability to make informed health decisions. As Mandy Mangler stated: "The morning-after pill is a vital medication, recognized by the World Health Organization, that delays ovulation and offers a crucial option for preventing unintended pregnancies. Ending the advertising ban would help destigmatize its use and address widespread misconceptions." T he government has promised to support self-determination, information freedom, and equality in its coalition agreement. Now is the time to deliver. Repealing the advertising ban would ensure that women can access the information they need to make empowered decisions. Let's join forces with initiatives like #Frauen100 to push for these essential reforms and advocate for women's health. We call on Lisa Paus, Karl Lauterbach and the Deutscher Bundestag to take immediate action. The German Obesity Congress in Cologne made one thing clear: Support for medication-based therapies is on the rise—a promising sign for us at golighter.de! With these medications now included in the new S3 guidelines, it’s a significant step toward recognizing obesity as a chronic condition. While surgical options are effective, offering long-term results, medication is becoming the preferred choice for many. It’s not just about weight loss—these treatments can also support patients before and after surgery, ensuring a more comprehensive approach to health. And the best part? Medications for obesity are safe, with most side effects being manageable and rare. The focus is shifting to what’s truly important: giving people the tools they need to take control of their health, wherever they are on their journey. Let’s keep pushing for better access to modern treatments and make sure no one is left behind! 💜 #ObesityAwareness #golighter #MedicationMatters #S3Guidelines #HealthcareInnovation #Wellster #futureofmedicine

🌟 A fantastic evening at the FRAUEN100 100 x Health event! 🌟 We were thrilled to have Prof. Mandy Mangler represent Wellster Healthtech Group, shedding light on critical issues surrounding women's health and digital access to care. One key topic Mandy addressed was the misinformation around emergency contraception and the need for better access to trusted digital services like MySummer. As Mandy said: "The morning-after pill is not a hormone bomb, nor is it an abortion pill. It simply delays ovulation and is safe for use, even multiple times. Women deserve access to this information, free of stigma." Shockingly, 50% of women don’t know that the morning-after pill is available over-the-counter at pharmacies. This highlights the urgent need to modernize restrictive regulations like HWG §9, which limits how we communicate about medical solutions. Reforms are essential to empower women with better (digital) access to health services. A huge thank you to all the incredible speakers and panelists for their inspiring contributions: Katja Burkard, highlighting the importance of the evening through FRAUEN100 and introducing the #nurwennichesweiss initiative. Shivaani Phillips, sharing international comparisons on emergency contraception. Ricarda Lang, Federal Chairwoman & Women's Policy Spokesperson, BÜNDNIS 90/DIE GRÜNEN. Roman Malessa, Chief Growth Officer, FAQ – The Better Health Group. Elena Carrière, actress and model. Moderated by the wonderful Nele Würzbach. Together, we are pushing boundaries and bringing women's health and digital access to the forefront! #WellsterHealthtech #DigitalHealth #Telemedicine #MySummer #WomensHealth #HWG9 #HealthcareInnovation #Frauen100xHealth #FutureofHealth

🌟 A Milestone Moment at the Urologist Congress 🌟 At the 76th DGU-Congress, we had the opportunity to showcase Wellster Healthtech and GoSpring. These days were about connecting with the finest urologists from across the field, exchanging ideas, and discussing the urgent need for innovation in healthcare. With fewer doctors available and a growing number of patients, the demand for digital solutions has never been clearer—especially in urology. Represented by Sisa Josefina Lema C. (Head of Medical Affairs), Prof. Dr. Christian Wülfing (Chief of Urology at Asklepios Klinik and Chair of our Medical Advisory Board), Büsra Kurt (Medical Quality Manager) and Johannes von Bueren, MD, we forged new connections but also had the privilege of presenting one of our key studies: Assessment of Patient Risk Profiles by a Male Sexual Health Direct-to-Consumer Prescription Platform: A Cross-Sectional Study. This study highlights the importance of personalized healthcare in men’s sexual health, a topic that is gaining traction in the evolving landscape of digital medicine. For those interested, you can access the full study here: https://lnkd.in/exMcsdVq A big thank you to everyone who stopped by our stand to engage with us.
