    🌱🤖 AI & Sustainability: Driving Innovation through Collaboration 🤝    At the newly opened Networking Cube at Wilopark, leading companies like GOLDBECK, Vaillant Group, Phoenix Contact, Vorwerk Gruppe, and Wilo gathered for a collaborative workshop on AI & Sustainability. These premium players came together to discuss the opportunities and challenges in the fields of artificial intelligence and sustainability.    Georg Weber, member of the Executive Board and CTO of the Wilo Group, opened the event with an inspiring message: "Today everything revolves around ‘Connecting,’ as one of the three areas of impact in our Group-wide sustainability strategy. We want to exchange ideas, have exciting conversations, learn from each other, and work out solutions together."    Key insights from the working groups:  🔹 The Sustainability team, led by Claudia Brasse, Wilo Vice President of Sustainability Management, discussed sustainable materials, production processes, and compliance with EU regulations. Claudia shared: "The exchange showed that all companies face the same challenges in meeting the required criteria. Our working group gained valuable practical tips for implementing EU standards."    🔹 The AI team reflected on successful and failed projects, with Dr. Martin Oettmeier, Wilo Group Director Research and Predevelopment, summarising: "Regardless of which artificial intelligence is introduced, continuous change management is required. It involves key players and establishes multipliers to ensure success."    The workshop showcased the power of collaboration, where open communication and shared insights lead to collective progress and innovation.     💧🌍 Water Summit at Wilopark: “Innovation is the Key to Success” The Circular Valley initiative recently brought together renowned participants from business and politics for a water summit at Wilopark. Hosted by the Wilo Group at its Networking Cube, the event facilitated crucial discussions on global water challenges and sustainability. Georg Weber, Member of the Executive Board and CTO of the Wilo Group, participated in the summit alongside other Wilo experts and underscored the importance of the event: "We saw interesting presentations and engaged in exciting discussions, clearly to the benefit of all participants. Water shortage is without question a global megatrend. Events like the water summit bring experts together, allowing them to network with one another. This is the only way to find answers to the water crisis." The agenda featured key notes on different issues, reflecting the complexity of the water topic: - Wupperverband: Sustainable organisation and valorisation of data - Emschergenossenschaft / Lippeverband : A watershed moment in water management - Borussia Dortmund: Sponge city concept - Bayer: Decentralised solutions for sewage unsuitable for wastewater treatment plants - Wilo: Activities in the context of the European Blue Deal and Water Management Roadmap 2030 Günter Poppen Project Coordinator at Circular Valley, echoed the focus on innovation and collaboration: "It is already clear that technological innovations are urgently needed. Innovation is the key to success. Networking and interdisciplinary discussions are essential for this to happen – as are events like the water summit." The summit at Wilopark marked the beginning of a long-term dialogue aimed at fostering collaboration and driving tangible results in addressing global water challenges.     [INTERNATIONAL OEM MEETING] 📆 On September 25 and 26, we had the pleasure of hosting our annual conference entirely remotely, organized over two half-days and bringing together a hundred participants each day from all countries. 🗺️ In addition to the topics covered by our teams during this event, which addressed technological developments, product offerings, development opportunities and the successes of our sales teams, we had the privilege of receiving 3 external guests online: Jakob Jul Jensen, Head of Business Development, Vertical Data Center of Danfoss Climate Solutions who shared with us his experience of the data center market, thus complementing our own experience and vision of this market.  Once again, a big thank you to him for his availability and his sharing, which were greatly appreciated by all our participants. As well as Greta Corsale and Veerle Beelaerts from the EHI - Association of the European Heating Industry, an association with which we have been partners for many years, and with whom we regularly exchange on trends and players in the heating market in Europe.     🚀 Best Practice Sharing Day at Wilopark: AI in Operations & Industry Insights     As a member of the MIMA Champions Circle, a recognition Wilo earned for its Adaptive Worker Assistance after winning the prestigious Microsoft Intelligent Manufacturing Award (MIMA), we teamed up with Roland Berger and Microsoft Germany to host the Best Practice Sharing Day. The event focused on AI in Operations and brought together leading experts to exchange insights on the future of manufacturing.    Georg Weber, member of the Executive Board and CTO of the Wilo Group, highlighted Wilo’s inclusion in the MIMA Champions Circle's Hall of Fame, stating: “Through our ongoing commitment to innovation and sustainability, we aim to make a positive impact on society and create a livable future for the next generations. It's not just about developing new products and solutions, but continuously improving existing technologies and processes—always with people at the centre.” 💡    📊 Keynotes and AI Integration in Wilo’s Smart Factory    The event featured insightful presentations from Wilo experts Stephan Böing and Christian Berger, who showcased how we’re integrating AI into our Smart Factory processes. As Christian Berger noted, “The key to implementing new technologies like AI is understanding their function and requirements, making information more accessible, and boosting efficiency.”    In the afternoon, industry leaders such as Nicolas Savides from NVIDIA and experts from Roland Berger discussed how AI is revolutionising production operations across industries.     Wrapping up a day of insightful discussions, the RB Operations team around Dr. Julia Duwe, Steffen Gackstatter, and Felix M. and Microsoft’s Manufacturing Industry Lead Nico Hartmann officially launched the new report “Accelerate, Innovate, Empower” on the status-quo of AI in Operations, jointly written with NVIDIA. Re-analyzing the tangible, pioneering use cases from five editions of MIMA, experts from RB, Microsoft, and NVIDIA consolidated seven success patterns for digitalization success in Operations and shed a light on the required steps towards an ‘AI flight path to success’.”    👏 A big thank you to everyone involved.
