🌿 A New Green Oasis in the Heart of Munich! 🌿 As part of the JUSTNatureProject, we partnered with Landeshauptstadt München, Bellevue di Monaco and Green City e.V. to transform the courtyard of the integration center into a vibrant, green oasis. What was once a barren space is now a place for connection, nature, and relaxation for people of all ages and background. Project Highlights: 🌿 Sustainable seating area made from local larch wood, crafted in the WOW! Workshop 🌿 Greenery featuring plants from regional partners 🌿 Creation of a living willow tipi as a growing retreat for children 🌿 Placemaking events with workshops, hands-on activities, and more planned for 2024 & 2025 The opening celebration with concerts, food, a children's program, and creative activities was a huge success, receiving positive feedback from all sides! 🎉 Together, we’re creating livable, green spaces right in the heart of the city 🌍💚 #UrbanGreening #Sustainability #ClimateJustice #GreenOasis #UrbanTransformation #Collaboration #Munich #JustNature

🚴♂️🌳🌞 Exciting Developments in Fürstenried West, Munich! 🌞🌳🚴♀️ We're thrilled to share our latest project, where we're transforming the neighborhood with a fresh mix of innovation and sustainability for the long term vision Quartier Fürstenried West! 💡 Our new installation features a bike repair station, lush greenery, a cozy sitting area, and smart add-ons like solar-powered lights and phone chargers! 🔧🌱📱 This initiative is all about social neighborhood development – making urban spaces more livable and community-friendly. And the best part? It's right next to a brand new kiosk made from upcycled construction waste, brought to life by the creative minds at StudioStadtRegion and build by Belwerk! Additionally this is complemented by an electric vespa and cargobike hire station and an internal car-sharing scheme in the neighbourhood for a maximum of sustainable mobility. 🛠♻️ Huge thanks to our amazing partners StudioStadtRegion, Hines, and PlanB for their collaboration and vision. 🌟 WOW! What an incredible Summer School 2024! 🌟 Over the past 2 weeks, we've immersed ourselves in both theoretical and practical education in "Remaking the streets", all while meeting an array of fascinating people. It was a pleasure to welcome so many enthusiastic students to our street transforming workshop, hosted in collaboration with TUM Accessibility Planning in Munich! A huge thanks goes to humankind, TUM, Street Experiments Tool - SET , and EIT Urban Mobility Master School for the fantastic cooperation and overall organization. Der Breisässer Platz. Hier hat alles angefangen! Unser Herzensprojekt in Haidhausen in München wurde 2020 von dem Kollektiv Die Städtischen initiiert. Später ist aus dieser Initiative WOW! Urbane Utopien entstanden. Das Parklet und die Stadtterrasse werden vor allem durch die Nachbar:innenschaft in jedem Jahr aufgebaut und hergerichtet. Jetzt nach 4 Jahren war es an der Zeit die Stadtmöblierungen zu sanieren und Teile auszutauschen. Bei sommerlichen Temperaturen erstrahlt das Parklet nun mit neuem Boden und die Stadtterrasse wurde durch eine neue Sitzbank und ein neues Hochbeet ergänzt. Der Breisässer Platz ist ein Pilotprojekt an dem wir unterschiedliche Angebote ausprobieren können! Fahrradstation, Bücherschrank, Pfandkasten, Schwarzes Brett, Hochbeete und Sitzmöglichkeiten finden hier Platz und werden fleißig genutzt. Da wo vorher zwei Parkplätze waren ist nun wieder Platz für Begegnungen.

Die Stadt Fürstenfeldbruck hat in diesem Jahr zum ersten mal unserer Parklets aufgestellt. Der Auermülplatz bekommt mehr Aufenthaltsqualität für Menschen, da wo vorher Parkplätze und Autos waren. Wir freuen über jeden Quadratmeter öffentlichen Raum, der so wieder freigegeben wird. Für mehr Bilder folgt uns auf Instagram @wow.urbaneutopien

Die Parklet und Stadtterrassen Saison 2024 ist im vollen Gange und alle Projekt aus dem letzten Jahr konnten an ihre Plätze im öffentlichen Raum zurückkehren.
