Today, in our virtual international #EnergyScout exchange meeting, we welcomed 79 people from 10 European countries! 🌍 15 teams pitched their innovative project ideas, each demonstrating different strategies to reduce energy and resource consumption, cut company costs, and lower the carbon footprint. 🌱💡 We also had our Young Energy Europe ambassador, Marco Trisciuzzi, join us, who urged companies to continue seizing the opportunities presented by the dynamic field of sustainability, rather than dwelling on the threats. Meet Marco Trisciuzzi, the new ambassador of the project Young Energy Europe! He will work with us to to unleash #Energyefficiency projects in companies by qualifying #EnergyScouts across Europe. In his role as managing director and member of the executive Board of the AHK Slowakei (German-Slovak Chamber of Commerce) he is not only a key networker, but a bridge-builder for cross boarder commerce and industry.   Great to know, that he can explain how Energy Scouts are cutting energy cost, reduce CO2-emissions at the same time. 🌞In December 2023, two #EnergyScouts from Čakovec, Croatia tackled the high energy demands of a public swimming pool.   By installing a large rooftop #photovoltaic system, they were able to cut the pool’s annual electricity demand by 22%, saving around 64 tons of CO2 per year!⚡   🔋 Thanks to the optimal positioning towards the sun, the solar power can be directly consumed at any time of day, providing financial benefits and eliminating the need for battery storage 💰🌍   The two Energy Scouts participated in the #YoungEnergyEurope programme, organized by the German-Croatian Chamber of Commerce and Industry. ➡️Find out more about this #bestpractice and how it sets a great example for local climate protection efforts, in the comment section below.
