🚀 Successful Launch of the PHOENIX Project! 🚀
As the coordinator, I’m thrilled to announce the successful launch and kickoff meeting of the PHOENIX Project, held last week at EnergyVille in Genk, Belgium. Under the #HorizonEurope program (Grant agreement ID: 101172764), PHOENIX aims to pioneer next-generation photo-electro-integrated technologies, propelling #solarfuel research, innovation, and deployment across Europe.
The PHOENIX consortium brings together leading institutions and industries in Europe, such as #HZB, #UIBK, #LEITAT, #ZSW, #CNRS, #SUT, #FHNW, #JBF, and #K1-MET. Together, we’re also expanding our Industrial and Expert Advisory Board to further advance large-scale adoption of solar fuel technologies.
Project Highlights:
🌍 Step-wise conversion of CO₂ into high-value products—first to CO and then to propanol.
🔄 Integration of waste PET plastic oxidation in solar fuel reactors for increased efficiency and industrial viability.
♻️ A focus on sustainability through comprehensive environmental and economic profiling of PHOENIX technologies.
Thanks to Sudhanshu Shukla, Veroni Ballet, Xia Han, Bart Vermang, Tom Aernouts, Guy Brammertz, Daniely R., Mina Ghorbani, PhD, Abraham Solomon, Htoo Thiri Htet from imec for efficiently organizing and supporting the project and meeting.
Stay tuned for updates on our LinkedIn page and website, which will be launched soon. Let’s work together to bring PHOENIX to new heights with our collective efforts!
