💡 The EU has already reached its gas storage target for the upcoming winter, ten weeks ahead of schedule. 🏗 The Polish oil network operator #Pern has been planning the construction of a second line of the #Pomeranian #pipeline ('Pommern-Pipeline') for several years. 👉 The project has already received most of the necessary authorisations. The start of construction was planned after the expected announcement of some local decisions. However, unresolved financing issues are preventing the project from going ahead. The international engineering consultancy Ramboll is broadening its base. 🌀 With the complete takeover of K2 Management, the Danes are expanding their wind power division and specifically their consulting and engineering services for project developers and wind farm operators. 🤝 The acquisition adds 175 new employees to the Ramboll team. The wind division will thus grow to around 900 employees. The Danes did not disclose financial details of the transaction. The relevant authorities still have to approve the acquisition. 💶 The European Commission is tightening import duties on e-car imports from China. The current decision is an interim step in the ongoing anti-subsidy investigation, the Commission announced. ⚡ Accordingly, the amendment is part of the draft for the introduction of punitive tariffs on electric vehicles from China. Compared to the decision to introduce punitive duties in June, the countervailing duty margins in particular have changed and decreased slightly. 📌 On 20 August, VNG Gasspeicher GmbH (VGS) markets remaining capacity for the current storage year in the #Jemgum storage facility on the "easystore" portal. The storage facility is connected to both the German THE VHP and the Dutch TTF trading point. 👉 The firm working gas capacity of 106.9 GWh will be available from 22 August. The Federal Cabinet agreed on changes to the budget on 16 August. Federal Chancellor Olaf Scholz (SPD - Social Democratic Party), Minister of Finance Christian Lindner (FDP - Free Democratic Party) and Federal Minister of Economics Robert Habeck (Greens) expect additional revenue from the energy industry.
