🌍 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗚𝗶𝗿𝗹 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟰🌍 At BioMar, we believe the future of aquaculture is in the hands of the next generation, and that means empowering girls and young women to lead the way in sustainable innovation. Girls have the potential to drive change in aquaculture, bringing fresh perspectives and leading the change we need for a more responsible industry. We are proud to inspire young women and girls through mentorship, sponsorship, and the leadership of our female role models. By showcasing the incredible work of women in aquaculture, we hope to create more opportunities for women worldwide to see what’s possible in this industry. Throughout this year, we've empowered women at every level—from production workers in North America, to female scientists in the Caribbean, to students in Denmark, and young leaders in New Zealand and Spain. Together, we are shaping a more inclusive and responsible future for aquaculture.

👩🔬𝗥𝗼𝗹𝗲 𝗺𝗼𝗱𝗲𝗹𝘀 𝗺𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗶𝗻 𝗮𝗾𝘂𝗮𝗰𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲🌍 At BioMar, we know that role models and mentors are essential in empowering young women to pursue careers in aquaculture, science, and sustainability. Seeing women thrive in these fields inspires the next generation to push boundaries and dream bigger. In honour of International Day of the Girl on October 11th, we want to celebrate the incredible women we've featured in previous posts, including Kyla Zatti, Silia Woodside, and Hanne Tolderlund Rasmussen, who are all making waves in aquaculture. These women—and so many others—prove that young girls are more likely to see themselves in similar positions when they see successful role models. That’s why mentorship and visibility are crucial in breaking down barriers and ensuring the future of aquaculture is diverse, innovative, and sustainable. #WomenInAquaculture #InternationalDayOfTheGirl

🌟Yesterday, we had the pleasure of participating in the Lead the Future kickoff event, organised by Above & Beyond Group and co-hosted by Danmarks Nationalbank. Two of our role models, Hanne Tolderlund Rasmussen and Andreina Guastella Ferrer, attended, and it was a great moment to see Hanne meet her mentee, Hannah, for the first time 🤝👩🔬 This event offered a fantastic space for informal networking, where role models, mentors, and mentees came together to start building meaningful connections. We can't wait for the upcoming panel debates and further discussions as the program continues. 👩🎓 #LeadTheFuture #Aquaculture #WomenInSTEM #Diversity
