    The VIBE platform is now entering a Design & Testing phase 🛠️ Thanks to the support of many young people and mentors, we have enough insights to build the first prototype and iterate. What inspired us the most from the mentors we engaged with is that Mentoring is a co-creative concept for them. From this perspective, Mentoring is expected as a collaboration and peer-to-peer learning flow rather than a know-it-all experience 🤝 We are motivated by the results so far, since they are teaching us something strong: Mentoring is not a transactional activity.     As we gain momentum towards NB 2.0, we sat down to wrap up NB 1.0. The results come in the form of three projects hatched during the program 💎 1) Horizon bundles the best of four worlds: food, sports, music and dance. If you want more culture representation and more diverse audiences shining through, you need to have enough entry points to actually invite them in. Horizon makes it easier for you to end up attending a reggae concert after playing a volleyball game, or to find yourself in a bachata workshop after tasting an Argentinian barbecue. 2) Culture Crawl took the concept of a pub crawl, removed the overdone dependence on chain-drinking, and put local culture in the center. Instead of just visiting pubs, Culture Crawl coordinates local creatives to take over bars, restaurants and public spaces to create a unique experience for newcomers and locals alike, at unexpected places 3) Nightlife Art calls artists forward to take stakes in the sustainability agenda, while weaving a creative network too. Art is ever-present in most nightlife activities, and the environmental impact of those activities are often overlooked. Nightlife Art creates a space for local creatives to find sustainable alternatives for their artistic productions, and contribute to a greener future. After summer, we'll launch NB 2.0 along with Fermaten Studenterhus Aarhus and Paletten, with support of Region Midtjylland

    New funds! 📣 Along with Fermaten, Paletten and Studenterhus Aarhus, we got a grant of 397.000 dkk by "Kulturudvilkling" Region Midtjylland (thank you!) to develop Nightlife Boost 2.0. The mission is still the same: to explore the nightlife scenes of Aarhus, Herning and Viborg as spaces for social innovation 🔬 We think that students are core for these three cities and they can add momentum to the current night scene and infrastructure, benefiting local venues, creative groups, and future student communities 💪 Right after the summer holiday, we will begin mapping and reaching out to kick-off multiple cool collaborations!

    Mentors, we need your help! 📣 Whether you see yourself as a mentor or simply as someone who loves to support others, your experience and insights are very important to us 🎯 We are building VIBE, a mentoring platform designed to make it fun, smooth, and meaningful for people to share their professional and personal experiences. After extensive research and conversations with many young people seeking mentors in Denmark, we are now hosting an online, hands-on workshop to explore what an ideal mentoring platform could look like for people like you, who loves to help people to grow 🌱 Join us on Tuesday 18th, from 16:30 to 18:00.     Since March, we've been working alongside Fermaten and Herning Kommune to prepare a group of students and local residents to elevate the nightlife scene of Herning 👯 Nightlife Boost argued that, according to our research, the nightlife offer of a city is fundamental for locals (especially newcoming students) to value the city, its community, and the possibilities to live a good life 🌱 In one week, three experimental projects will be implemented during Kulturfest Herning. These initiatives have been designed following a compass of needs we boiled down based on our research, talking directly with young people of Herning. By using these leads, these projects have a much higher chance to be engaging 🎯 Check out the 5 elements of the compass!

    We are VIBE-ing! 🏳️🌈 After three intense days of work with GROWNi and KRAS, we are now a bit more clever about what Mentoring means beyond our own experience 🔎 We are grateful to feel so much interest from mentors and, especially, young people who are ready to become mentees (and hopefully mentors too!) 🌱 In order to make our research as representative and accurate as possible, we complemented our efforts by inviting mentoring-enthusiasts to interview each other, and take a stake in creating strong insights 🙌 So far, these are some tip-of-the-iceberg findings: . Most mentors don't receive any training or education to fulfill their role. They just become mentors either out of a successful personal experience as mentees, or due to their personality type (extroverted, pedagogical, etc.) 📚 . Most young people in our sample don't use any specific digital medium to find their mentors. Instead, their resort to their network or school to find one 🔦 . The number one fear among people in our sample is not to know how to prepare for a mentoring session, and honor the time of the mentor ✔️ . Most young people in our sample look forward to connecting on a personal level with their mentor, instead of just prioritizing their knowledge and credentials 🤝 This is just the beginning! We will keep sharing deeper insights as we keep diving into this fantastic world 🤿
