🌟 Big news: we're doubling capacity in Singapore 🌟 We’re full of good news these days. Following last week’s announcement about the approval to operate our propeller polish ROV (PropShiner) in more terminals in Singapore, we’re excited to share that by Q1 2025, we’ll have a second hull cleaning ROV (ShipShiner) in place to meet the growing demand for sustainable biofouling services in the region. Here’s a quick breakdown:  ♡ Singapore, one of the world’s largest and busiest hubs, has been central to our operations since we first arrived in 2014. ⛴ As more proactive vessel owners, charterers, and managers recognize the immediate cost and emission reductions from biofouling management, demand for sustainable hull and propeller cleanings in the region has never been higher. 📈 At C-LEANSHIP, we’re investing to support ambitious growth ahead. It’s only natural that we ensure we have the resources and infrastructure to meet the growing demand and support our clients’ long-term biofouling management strategies—helping them optimize vessel performance, reduce emissions, and stay compliant with evolving regulations. 👥 Our expansion also includes strengthening our team to manage the increased volume of inspections and cleanings, ensuring we deliver excellence every time. 🔮 And there’s more to come. We’re preparing to open new hubs and expand service offerings across our existing locations. Stay tuned!

How to improve your VESSEL Carbon Intensity Indicator score? There are a lot of abbreviations to remember in 2024: EEDI, EEXI, CII, SEEMP, EEOI, and so on. We like to concentrate on CII in the following sections (Carbon Intensity Indicator). So, what exactly is CII? The official explanation goes as follows: The Carbon Intensity Indicator (CII) measures the efficiency with which a ship transports goods or passengers and is expressed in grams of CO2 emitted per cargo-carrying capacity and nautical mile. In layman’s terms, CII is a rating of how efficiently and environmentally friendly a ship is operated. Here C-Leanship come into the play due to the fact that according to a recent IMO report, a layer of slime as thin as 0.5 mm covering up to 50% of a hull surface could result in a 25-30% increase in GHG emissions 😉 C-Leanship with its global network can manage your fleet by means of inspections and cleanings when required - Try us Out!

💡 In today's Finansavisen we can read about Norwegian Shipowners' Association (Norges Rederiforbund) member fleet accounting for 50% of all of Norway's emissions. From 2024, the shipping sector was included as part of the EU Emissions Trading System, with a step-up in 2025 and 2026. The Shipowner's members have set a target of 50% emissions reductions (vs. 2008) by 2030. This will necessitate significant measures in the form of alternative fuels and efficiency. Luckily, the Norwegian fleet has the highest share of vessels running on alternative fuels. However, at a significant added cost 💲 What if there was a low-hanging fruit solution that could reduce emissions by up to 15% and juice more out of alternative fuels such as methanol and biofuels? Well there is 🎯 It is a well-known fact that biofouling considerably increases ship's drag and fuel consumption. Proper biofouling management resolves this, and also avoids the spread of invasive aquatic species such as sea vomit and sea cucumbers (!) 🏊♂️ 🤢 NRP Zero AS portfolio company C-LEANSHIP offers ROV hull cleaning services in Antwerp, Busan and Singapore that preserves paint and collects the biofouling, all while the ship is performing cargo operations in port. Leading to zero down time for ship owners, significant monetary savings, lower emissions and cleaner waters 💰🌊 Get in touch if you want to learn more. #EnergyEfficiency #EnergyTransition #BiofoulingManagement #NRPZero Morten Pilnov
