TAK for en fuldkommen forrygende åbningsgalla i Konservatoriets Koncertsal i går! 🌟 Tak til alle jer, der kom, til dem, der stod på scenen, og til alle jer, der fulgte med fra biografsale over hele landet og var med til at gøre denne aften helt særlig. Aftenen bød på åbningstale af Katrine Kiilgaard og Niklas Engstrøm, verdenspremieren på filmen ‘Facing War’ af Tommy Gulliksen, efterfulgt af en samtale med statsminister Mette Frederiksen og filmens hovedperson, den tidligere generalsekretær i NATO, Jens Stoltenberg, modereret af Adam Holm. De smukke blomster på scenen var leveret af BLOOM OBJECTS, og To Øl serverede friske forsyninger hele aftenen, mens samarbejdspartnere og venner af festivalen var samlet for at fejre starten på CPH:DOX og gøre aftenen uforglemmelig! DREAM TEAM! 🔥 It takes a a lot of people to make one of the biggest documentary festivals in the world. Actually so many, that we all can't be tagged here on LinkedIn! A big, heartfelt thanks to ALL of the many fantastic people who have made create CPH:DOX 2025. From staffers, interns and freelance employees to all our many volunteers and partners. This year, architects TERROIR x Sarah Falk Fredelund in collaboration with our Berlin furniture partner Noah Living GmbH have created Kunsthal Charlottenborg's unique and sensuous festival design with a focus on recycling and facilitating democratic participation ❤️🔥 Read more about the collaboration - and how you can get your hands on the beautiful furniture after the festival (with a 35% discount compared to the normal price) in the article below. Interview in Variety with our managing director Katrine Kiilgaard og Head of Industry, Mara Gourd-Mercado (Elle/ She/ Her) 💫 CPH:DOX starts in TWO days. We can't wait.

Our SCIENCE:CINEMA is back at Nationalmuseet with three days of film and debates - supported by our dear partners at Netcompany! We open the SCIENCE:CINEMA on March 25th, where we will present a screening of Emil Nørgaard Munk’s portrait of author Andrea Hejlskov titled “Witch”, followed by a conversation with three modern witches and the opportunity to explore the exhibition ’The Viking Soceress’ at Nationalmuseet. Later that evening, we will show the documentary “Human Race,” which takes an in-depth look at evolutionary biologist Eske Willerslev and his tireless pursuit of answers, insight, and new knowledge. After the film, Eske Willerslev will speak on stage with his fellow researcher, Thomas Werge. The next two days of SCIENCE:CINEMA will include, among other things, a science talk show about chemical elements, a panel debate on the future of the internet featuring, among others, the collective Softer, the communications manager at Netcompany, Le Gammeltoft, and researcher Katrine K. Pedersen, as well as a host of debates and in-depth, geeky conversations about everything from deep-sea mining and the green transition to women in male-dominated research environments and much, much more. CPH:DOX har altid insisteret på, at dokumentarfilm er kunst. Og hvilket bedre sted at understrege det end på vores kunstscene ART:CINEMA på SMK – Statens Museum for Kunst? ART:CINEMA præsenteres igen i år i samarbejde med SMK den 28.-30. marts – en weekend fyldt med filmvisninger, talks, debatter, kunst, koncerter og meget mere. Den danske Statsminister Mette Frederiksen og tidligere generalsekretær i NATO, nuværende norsk finansminister, Jens Stoltenberg, vil efter CPH:DOX’ åbningsfilm ‘Facing War’ om netop Stoltenberg, diskutere filmen og fremtidens NATO-samarbejde. Samtalen finder sted til CPH:DOX’ store åbningsgalla i Konservatoriets Koncertsal den 19. marts kl. 19.30. Og som noget helt nyt vil 20 biografer over hele Danmark - fra Kunsthal Charlottenborg i København og Øst for Paradis ApS i Aarhus til APOLLON STRUER A/S og Cafe biografen i Odense - vise ‘Facing War’ med et efterfølgende live-stream af Mette Frederiksen og Jens Stoltenbergs samtale - og flere biografer bliver tilføjet løbende.
