New internship at Danphone A/S ❗ Introducing our new member: Since the beginning of August, we at Danphone A/S have had the pleasure of welcoming Michael Ræbild Højen Jensen as our marketing and sales intern. Over the coming months, Michael will collaborate closely with our marketing and sales team to explore various challenges and opportunities within the maritime industry. With his background in Export and Technology from Professionshøjskolen UCN, Michael will engage in a range of activities, including analysing different sales scenarios, considering customer needs, and understanding the basic product specifications, to gain a comprehensive understanding of the different processes. ⚓ Michaels own words: "I’ve been welcomed in the best possible way, and I already have plenty of tasks on my plate, which is definitely a plus for me. Danphone has been a great place for me to connect the gap between theory and practice. It's provided me with the opportunity to use my knowledge while continuously learning new and exciting things from scratch. Danphone A/S visit at Port of Hirtshals! 🛳 Our new Technical Sales Engineer for Port Communication Systems, Jens R. Gulbæk, is settling in well in the maritime world. By visiting various ports around Denmark, Jens is starting to gain insights of what needs and requirements ports of today have.   Jens had the pleasure of visiting Port of Hirtshals - Hirtshals Havn, where Head of Operations and pilot, Andreas Engelbrecht Christiansen, informed us on how the operation and planning was carried out at Port of Hirtshals. 🚢 We had the pleasure of experiencing both arriving ferries, bulk coasters, and observing the current communication system. We also had a good dialogue regarding the challenges often faced in a port which concerns both commercial and public. A key takeaway was how Danphone's IP-based communication system could enable the operators and colleagues to work remotely from the control center or office. Say Hi to the youngest member of Team Danphone 😁😎 We had the pleasure of hosting Albert, an 8th-grade student from Middelschool, for a week of school internship. During his time with us, he assisted our production staff with PC setup and configuration. Additionally, he collaborated with Kenneth Mortensen on mechanical assembly for one of our major ongoing projects. 🚢 Team Collaboration in Action! 🚢 Michael and Christina from Danphone A/S recently had the pleasure of visiting Nikolaj Lind Munk Pedersen from Polaris Electronics A/S to join a radio inspection on the vessel Poul Løwenørn in the Assens Skibsværft A/S Assens - Port of Assens. This visit provided us with a fantastic opportunity to see our Futronic MKII test box in its proper environment on board a vessel. Nikolaj generously shared his extensive knowledge of radio inspections and his daily experience working with the Futronic MKII. Such hands-on experiences and insights from our dedicated radio inspectors are invaluable. They enable us to stay ahead of industry developments and continually improve our support for Futronic users, ensuring they can perform their work with excellence. Visit at Copenhagen Malmö Port 🚢🛳 Asger Milborg and Jens R. Guldbæk visited CMP in Copenhagen to present Danphone's reliable, flexible, and scalable port system, which garnered significant interest. They were particularly excited about Danphone A/S's Port Communication System being IP network-based, as this opens immense opportunities and benefits for implementation in their upcoming new port office in Copenhagen. 🌟 CMP’s Harbour Master, Morten Nygaard Rasmussen was especially interested in the possibility of establishing remote workstations for the port guards in Copenhagen. 🌊🚢 Ready for Shipping! 🚢🌊 Since January, our team at Danphone A/S has been diligently working on a GMDSS project for the Bahamas to enhance the security and safety of maritime transportation. Today, we are thrilled to announce that our latest project is ready for delivery to our valued customers. Once installed, this new system will extend A1/A2 GMDSS coverage to Great Abaco and Eleuthera, making a total of six island groups in the Bahamas equipped with Danphone’s advanced technology. Each installation includes 2 VHF transceivers, 1 MF/HF Transceiver, 1 MF/HF Receiver, and 3 Operator Workstations, ensuring robust and reliable communication for maritime safety. Under normal conditions, these installations are monitored and operated from Nassau. In the event of a network failure, the remote systems can operate independently, ensuring continuous safety and communication. A big thank you to Cambridge International Systems, Inc. for their excellent collaboration. Together, we are taking critical infrastructure in the Bahamas to the next level. Danphone's Visit to Skagen Havn - Port of Skagen 🚢 Asger Milborg, Andy Reynolds, and Jens R. Guldbæk made their way to the northernmost point of Denmark to meet with Port Assistant Thomas Madsen. Danphone A/S visited Port of Skagen to gain insights into their daily operations and to learn about the communication processes with ships arriving at the port. We were warmly welcomed by Thomas, who explained how daily communication with vessels is managed. He shared details about the arrival of cruise ships and the increased tasks during the summer months when these ships dock in the small fishing town. 🛳 Thomas was introduced to Danphone's software for using VHF radios and the system’s ability to be operated remotely via an IP-based network, which sparked his interest in learning more about Danphone's Port Communication Systems.
