    Yesterday, I had the pleasure of attending the annual ISS Social Sustainability Event. 💡Between the insightful and inspiring presentations and panel discussions, one thing really struck me at my core: The magic of sharing and having what I choose to call "an abundance mindset". 🪄 The generosity shown by ISS and their amazing team of dedicated co-workers in every detail of the day, was second to none (including the gooseberry & apple jam 🍎, which brought a ray of sunshine to my breakfast today!) 🌞. As was the curiosity and willingness to share and learn from each other amongst the speakers, panelists and attendees. Working in the field of diversity and inclusion is somewhat of a roller coaster 🎢 - it most certainly has its ups and downs! Finding leaders, decision-makers and companies that truly understand and embrace the work that needs to be done in order to ensure sustainable (work)lives for the future, is actually harder than many would think. 🤔 But yesterday, Margot Slattery, Liz Benison and Kasper Fangel from ISS A/S, together with Julia Olofsson (Ingka Group), Ingrid U. Snelderwaard (She/her/hers) (A.P. Moller - Maersk), Matteo Squire (Unilever), Renata Greenberg (Frolova) (BSR), and Ken Janssens (Windō) demonstrated that there truly are businesses that have the will, commitment and determination to create long-lasting, measurable and positive social impact 💹🪴. Alone, we can all make a difference - Together, we can make a revolution 🤗 So, quoting the title of the last presentation of the day by Ken Janssens: "The Future with Social Impact at the Helm - Can we afford not to?"     Tanker i forlængelse af denne morgens indlæg på TV2 News, hvor en folkevalgt politiker taler om, at han og mange andre kolleger har trukket sig fra debatten om folkemordet Gaza, fordi den er så svær og polariseret. Jeg drømmer om en verden, hvor vi bruger mere energi og flere ressourcer på at lære hvordan vi taler om ting, som er svære og konfliktfyldte. Vi har desværre alt for mange eksempler - fra vores egen dagligdag til international stor-politik, hvor konsekvenserne af manglende dialog taler deres eget tydelige og beskæmmende sprog. Stephen Covey’s vane 5 - “søg først at forstå, dernæst at blive forstået” har aldrig været mere aktuel 🙏🏻 Jeg drømmer om et samfund, hvor omsorg, (næste)kærlighed, trivsel, rummelighed, ligeværd, inklusion, fred og tryghed vægtes lige så højt, som penge, magt og indflydelse. Det er ikke kun det moralsk og etisk rigtige - det er faktisk også rigtig godt for økonomien - både den enkelte husholdnings, virksomheds og samfundets som helhed 👌

    "I've learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel." - Maya Angelou I cannot lie - I am deeply affected by the ongoing crisis in Palestine. I cannot fathom how anyone is capable of commiting the endless atrocities we all see everyday on our phones. It seems to be nothing less than pure, senseless evil. But even though it can seem gullible and utterly naive to some, I still have a rock solid faith in the good of mankind. Actually, I HAVE to believe in the good of mankind - otherwise I would not be able to function. Perhaps, that is why I have fallen so completely in love with my work with diversity, equity, inclusiong and belonging. Because I get to pave the way to more kindness in the world, every day 🙏🏽🤗 But what do YOU think? Am I being completely gullible?     Jeg har haft den store fornøjelse at arbejde sammen med Jesper Koch, Rudiger Schasching, Merete Frimand Kaalund, Jesper Bach Larsen og resten af det fantastiske lederteam på Steigenberger Alsik Hotel & Spa om deres værdier og ledelsesgrundlag. Det er der bl.a. kommet et par indslag ud af i det seneste afsnit af Viaplay Group's "Koch'en på Toppen" som kan ses fra i dag (sæson 4, afsnit 4). Der sker noget vigtigt i os, når vi kan identificere os med det værdi-grundlag som vores arbejdsplads har. Vi bliver trygge og stolte, og samtidigt gør værdigrundlaget det muligt for os, at koble vores passion til vores arbejde / arbejdsplads. Værdi-drevet ledelse er i min optik et af de værktøjer, som har det største potentiale ift. at skabe positive resultater for virksomheden - og som samtidigt oftest fejler stort, fordi virksomheden stopper arbejdet, når værdierne er udformet og kommunikeret ud til medarbejderne og omverdenen. At høste de positive resultater, som værdi-arbejdet kan skabe for virksomheden, kræver at man også tager tiden til at rulle dem ud og gøre dem konkrete og håndgribelige for hver enkelt medarbejder, så de hver især kan koble værdierne til lige præcis deres arbejde og rolle i virksomheden. Så vi må ud af maskinrummet og se hinanden i øjnene - og starte den gode, engagerende, lyttende dialog om hvorfor vi har valgt dem, og hvad de i grunden (ikke) betyder for os, ift. vores adfærd og daglige arbejde. PS - fik jeg sagt at jeg ELSKER mit arbejde? #ledelse #værdier #passion #workshop
