Our showroom was buzzing with big ideas yesterday when tech-companies met municipalities at DOLL to discuss smart urban solutions to the growing demands from the green transition. Enabling people to meet to exchange best-practices and network is one of the things we enjoy the most here at DOLL, and, of course, showcasing our partners' latest innovations along our 13 kilometres of living lab. Expanding the scope of a national Living Lab - What, How, for Whom, and for What Purpose? Which thematic areas are driving investment, regulation, and innovation? What challenges are top-of-mind among decision-makers regarding AI, ethical use of technology, IoT, and other Smart City topics. How does a living lab like DOLL work with companies focusing on AI? We had the pleasure of welcoming some of our partners in the project #AIBoost - an European Digital Innovation Hub - to discuss and demonstrate DOLLs approach in supporting innovation for startups, scaleups, SMEs and large corporations. A few key take aways 👉 The DOLL Living Lab offers a unique environment for AI companies to develop and test their solutions for smart and sustainable cities.  👉 We offer a testing facility in a real-world urban setting with over 1.5 square kilometers of space and over 10,000 daily users. This allows AI companies to test their solutions in a realistic environment, gathering valuable data and with AI in the long run provide feedback 👉 The lab boasts a "plug-and-play" infrastructure, making it easy for AI companies to integrate their solutions both in a physical and in digital environment.  👉 DOLL fosters collaboration between AI companies, public sector entities, and other stakeholders. This allows for knowledge sharing and the development of more comprehensive solutions. 👉 DOLL focuses on areas where AI can be particularly impactful in urban development, such as intelligent traffic management, environmental monitoring, road condition and energy efficiency in outdoor lighting.
