Proud to announce that four of our first responders will receive the national Star of Life Award next month in Washington, D.C. The Star of Life Award, presented by the American Ambulance Association (AAA), recognizes on-duty or off-duty services above and beyond the call of duty, notable community contributions, and/or consistent service records that exemplify the EMS mission. Honorees from Falck include (clockwise from top left): Paramedic Supervisor Jason Baum, of Falck Mobile Health – San Diego; EMT Yahya Elshawarbi, of Falck Northern California/Alameda County; EMT Adam Mysona, of Falck Rocky Mountain – Aurora (Colo.); and EMT Phillip Neff, of Falck Mobile Health – Southern California/Orange County. Together with other nominees from ambulance services across the nation, they will be honored at the American AAA Stars of Life Awards Ceremony at the Hyatt Regency Washington in Washington, D.C., November 10-13. “Jason, Yahya, Phillip, and Adam represent the best of the best — those who every day embody Falck’s values of commitment to care, trust building, and the belief that together we bring more value to people and society,” said Yann Hedoux, President and CEO of Falck USA. “Each of them exemplifies the qualities and actions that help protect the health and safety of the communities they serve.” While in Washington, the award recipients will also visit with U.S. Senators and Members of Congress and their staffs.

Our dedicated front-liners from California and Colorado have been tirelessly providing essential aid to the communities in the eastern U.S. impacted by Hurricane Helene. This powerful hurricane caused widespread devastation, leaving many residents in urgent need of assistance and support. 🚑 We deployed a total of seven ambulances to the affected areas. We are incredibly proud of the courage and determination shown by our teams as they moved into the aftermath of the storm, facing challenging conditions to deliver critical care. One of our brave responders, Erick Quintanilla, Orange County Division Manager from Falck Mobile Health, has made a profound impact on the community. 🎉🎂 Happy 118th Birthday to us! Today, we celebrate the birth of Falck, born out of a fiery vision by our founder Sophus Falck 🔥 Imagine being 20 years old, witnessing a castle on fire and thinking, "Hey, I could start a fire rescue company." That's exactly what Sophus did! 🏰🚒 From there, he didn't stop at fire rescue. He thought "Why not add ambulance services? And how about roadside assistance? Firefighting? Sea rescue?" Basically, if there was a way to help, Falck was going to be there! 🚑 Our journey has been anything but ordinary. We have branched out to "land, sea, and air" services. We have taken our vision globally, reaching out to the US and Latin America, and importantly, we have made health our heart and soul, and have made it our responsibility to help even more people around the world live healthy lives 🌍 We have had the pleasure of working with some amazing colleagues along the way. Today we celebrate ”Uniform at Work” day 🤝 We take pride in supporting the entire emergency and defense community, with whom we closely corporate daily. This day highlight the significant contributions of those who go above and beyond to ensure a safe and secure society. 🌍 Uniform at Work Day is an annual event where volunteers can wear their uniforms to their workplaces. Our Managing Director in ELM Sweden, Carina Reidler, participated when the Dansk Erhverv (Danish Chamber of Commerce), Healthcare Denmark, and the Danish Embassy in Sweden arranged for a Danish business delegation to visit Stockholm, led by the Minister for Senior Citizens Mette Kierkgaard focusing on knowledge sharing within welfare technology, elderly care, digital welfare, and chronic diseases. 🇩🇰🇸🇪 The Swedish healthcare sector, like many other healthcare systems, faces challenges such as an aging population, increased urbanization, and limited resources in remote areas, particularly in the vast northern regions.
