A temporary agreement has been reached between ILA and USMX, which means that the dockworkers will resume work immediately. This agreement introduces a 62% salary increase over the next six years, though some contractual terms still remain under negotiation. The strike is postponed until January 15, 2025, with ongoing discussions until then. At FREJA, we are closely monitoring these developments to ensure we provide our customers with the best alternative solutions should a new strike occur in January. Yesterday, approximately 45,000 dockworkers on the East Coast of the US went on strike. The strike is due to the dockworkers' union, ILA, and the employer association, USMX, not reaching an agreement on a new contract. A strike of this magnitude will most likely result in port congestion, delays, and price increases. At FREJA, we are monitoring the situation closely and working hard to find alternative routes and solutions to minimize the impact on our customers and ensure continuity in the supply chain.
