Today, we celebrate World Standards Day 2024 Why? Because we understand the value of standardisation and its role in fostering quality, reliability, and safety. World Standards Day is a celebration day to honour the efforts of the thousands of experts who develop voluntary technical agreements that are published as international standards within organisations such as IEC (International Electrotechnical Commission), ISO - International Organization for Standardization, ITU and many more. All our Operating Business Units (OBUs) are ISO certified, which is a prerequisite for us to ensure that we meet the highest standards for handling our customers’ products. In electronics manufacturing, we also adhere to IPC standards, including IPC-610 and J-Standard, which define workmanship requirements to ensure we meet the high-quality expectations of our customers, enabling their products to perform reliably in critical applications within e.g. critical infrastructure, measurement and control and the medical industry. Our certifications ensure that we meet the quality, environmental, health and safety, reliability, and information security standards that are expected of us as a leading EMS technology partner, and we are committed to upholding these standards. Thanks to all the professionals for their work in standardisation 🙏🏼 Curious to see which certificates our factories have? What is an obvious benefit of our global presence? We are able to follow our customers wherever they grow. In September 2024, we have installed an additional SMT line in our electronics factory in Guadalajara, Mexico, after transferring the SMT line from our electronics factory in Elva, Estonia. Due to an increased capacity demand in Mexico, we shipped the SMT line from Estonia in August 2024 after being unplugged from production. “The decision to move the SMT line from Estonia to Mexico is based on thorough analysis of available lines across our Operating Business Units as well as current and upcoming need for capacity. By leveraging our facilities across different regions, we ensure that we respond efficiently to the demand and requirements from our customers,” says Martin Kjærbo, COO in GPV. Much of the demand in the American market continues to move towards Mexico. Consequently, GPV is doubling the production area there in 2024, with the final layout expected to be completed in the first half of 2025. “We have now finished the installation of the additional SMT line thanks to efficient teamwork across the entire factory. The line has gone through a calibration process for all the machines, and we have initiated the first production trials in order to be qualified,” says Guillermo Loya Martin Del Campo, MD at GPV Electronics MX in Mexico. Great work from our teams in Estonia and Mexico! #OneGPV #ElectronicsManufacturingServices #AccomplishMore #ResultsAreCreatedByPeople

GPV enters Power Purchase Agreement for Danish solar park Recently, we entered into a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) for our Danish entities. We have entered the PPA with Reel and the agreement supports the construction of a 14,00 GWh/year solar park situated at Mesballe on Djursland in Denmark. The electricity generated from the solar park will be used at our two Danish production sites, GPV Mechanics DK in Tarm and GPV Electronics DK in Aars. With the agreement, we ☀️ Purchase approx. 5% of the solar park's expected production ☀️ Cover approx. 1/3 of the electricity consumption at our two Danish production sites “I am very pleased with this agreement, which will bring us one step closer to our GHG 2028 target. We have ambitious targets to reduce our scope 1 & 2 carbon emission intensity by 70% towards 2028 (baseline 2020) through various reduction and optimisation initiatives as well as through PPAs and we are actively looking into pursuing additional PPA agreements in other European countries,” says Bo Lybaek, CEO at GPV Group A/S. The park is expected to be put into operation in December 2024.
