How we matched a Senior Software Engineer from Microsoft with a small Danish company ↴ The candidate was extremely skilled - and a good match. But he had 4 specific expectations for the contract: 1. No probationary period 2. A salary that was above the client's budget 3. At least 30 days of vacation (2 days more than the client's offer) 4. A signed contract before the end of the month. And there were only 2 weeks left in the month. On top of that, the client was on vacation in a different time zone. Not the easiest situation - but we're used to that at Kure Search 😁 The first thing we did was to create an honest dialogue where we could talk openly about the concerns of both parties. With that approach, we were able to meet the 4 expectations like this: 1. No probationary period: ↳ We suggested to the client to extend the notice period by one month. The candidate accepted this. It also showed a commitment from the client that meant a lot to the candidate. 2. A salary that was above the client's budget: ↳ We advised the client to highlight their consistent history of bonus payments. This addressed the candidate's concerns about the offered salary. 3. At least 30 days of vacation (2 days more than the client's offer): ↳ We made the candidate aware of an additional day off (which he had missed) and that overtime could be exchanged for extra days off. In this way, the candidate got the vacation days he wanted. 4. A signed contract before the end of the month: ↳ We conducted the negotiations online - respecting the client's vacation. This resulted in the contract being signed after only 2 weeks. What we actually did was: → Advise the client, based on our many years of experience → Find what really mattered to the candidate → Listen, so that both felt understood and valued. It may sound simple, but it's not. And it can sometimes be difficult to do without a neutral third party who can build a bridge. Have you found a dream candidate where you still can't meet in terms of expectations, or are you still looking for the dream candidate? Then let's have a chat - maybe we can help! 😊

Cybersecurity is a top priority for CEOs this year, And it should be for CIOs as well. Cyber attacks, including those originating from Russia, are a real and growing threat to businesses. And with the new NIS2 EU requirements, companies now have a legal national obligation to protect themselves against such attacks. This doesn't mean you, as an IT leader, need to be a cybersecurity expert yourself (though having specialists on your team is crucial). However, you should have a working knowledge of the relevant technologies And stay informed about the latest threats and trends. → What steps are you taking to protect your company from cyber attacks?

IT plays a central role in most companies today. But this places high demands on the CIO. IT is no longer just a support function. Most companies are deeply dependent on IT (how would e.g. a bank operate without it?) So here is the most sought-after quality in a CIO in 2024: The ability to have both a strategic and visionary mindset. You must be able to: 👍 Develop and implement a visionary IT strategy that aligns with the company strategy 👍 Challenge the thinking of the CEO and the rest of the Executive Directors 👍 Inspire the company regarding the potential of IT. Why is this the most in-demand quality? It creates progress and innovation within the company. ↳ And makes large IT projects seem more manageable. Something all companies need. #kvinderneskampdag #ITbranchen #itu #dtu * Kilde: ATV's beregninger pba. Did you know that … ... two identical job postings within a short period of time can send unwanted signals to potential candidates? They might think: - The requirements in the advertisement were unrealistic - The employee quickly resigned - The job isn't attractive enough Although that might not be the cause. But the candidates don’t know that. And yes, candidates looking for a new job notice if a job advertisement is posted twice in a short period. You can compare a reposted job advertisement to taking a house off the market to put it back up shortly afterward. Without making any changes to the house, the price, or the advertisement itself. Why would it work better to sell the house this time? Instead try: 1. Being realistic about if: - The job seems attractive to qualified candidates. - The advertisement is clear and specific. 2. Honestly answering these 2 questions: - Is it realistic that we can attract the type of candidate we're looking for? - If yes, what specific aspects should we highlight in the advertisement? And remember: It's not just salary and titles that can attract the right candidate. It can also be: - Working with skilled and inspiring colleagues - Attractive location and short commute time - Internal career opportunities - New exciting technologies - Personal development - Flexible working hours - Meaningful tasks So what makes your company attractive to talented candidates?
