Liftra Self-Hoisting crane successfully did 3 offshore main component replacement operations within just 4 weeks of July. The operations were carried out for InnoVent on their 3MW wind turbines in lake Vänern, Sweden. Despite of challenging weather conditions, the LT1200 SHC flawlessly conducted 3 gearbox exchanges including rotor lowering. The crane was operated by our team of experienced technicians. The Liftra Blade Tip Carrier supports safe “two-crane-lift” of blades, without the risk of damaging the leading or trailing edge. The LT1096-2 Blade Tip Carrier is a multi-brand lifting tool which can be used in combination with both the Liftra LT1200 Self-Hoisting Crane lifting the root-end as well as conventional cranes. As standard we offer: • WLL = 12-ton • Specification suitable for blades weighing up to 30 tons. • Ability to monitor the angle between the blade and crane hook (both tilt and pitch direction). • Warning if the angular misalignment is about to exceed limit values. As a multi-brand yoke the Blade Tip Carrier is a standard tool with fast delivery time and compatible to any typical blade within the WLL-limits.
