PRODUCED WATER 💧 🛢: LiqTech International Inc has delivered a commercial pilot unit for the filtration of oil and gas produced water to National Energy Services Reunited Corp (NESR), a provider of integrated energy services in the Middle East and North Africa. The LiqTech containerized PureFlow system will be used at customers’ sites in the Gulf Cooperation Council Countries (GCC) to demonstrate and document the efficiency of LiqTech's silicon carbide ceramic ultrafiltration technology in treating produced water to facilitate re-injection and beneficial reuse and meet current and future regulatory requirements. We just released 2023 annual report. I am excited to share that we have delivered solid financial results improving both our top and bottom line in what has been a transitional year for LiqTech focused on getting a new leadership team in place and implementing our new commercial strategy. Key achievements include: - We reached a total revenue of $18 million which corresponds to 13% YoY growth compared to 2022 - We achieved a gross margin of 15.4% compared to 3.5% in 2022 and lowered our operating expenses from $13.1 million in 2022 to $10.6 million in 2023. - Our net loss was negative $(8.6) compared to $(14.2) in 2022 reflecting a significant milestone reached on our path to reach break-even. Over the last two weeks, we have also shared two important announcements that we have received orders for two containerized oil & gas produced pilot units. One of these is from Razorback Direct, our new partner in the U.S., while the other is from NESR in the Middle East, a partner we have been working with since 2022. I would like to take the opportunity to thank our customers, partners, investors and employees for their great contributions in 2023 and look very much forward to continued collaboration in 2024. 🚀 We’re excited to share the announcement of a significant order from NESR, a leading provider of energy services in the Middle East. This order is for a containerized pilot unit that will be used at a customer site to demonstrate and document the efficiency of our ultrafiltration technology in treating oil & gas produced water to facilitate beneficial reuse. Longer term, the intention is to use the results from this pilot to design and implement full-scale commercial systems. NESR and LiqTech have been partners since November 2022 and since then we’ve been working towards commercializing our produced water treatment solution in the region. Once operational, the new pilot unit will become the second one to step into operation in the Middle East since another similar type of unit was deployed in May 2022 by a major oil & gas operator in the region. Interestingly, this system has been running smoothly for nearly two years now with over 99% of the feedwater passing through it being delivered back as clean brine suitable for reinjection. The quality of the clean brine exceeds the performance requirements originally defined by the end user. What’s more, the system has demonstrated excellent energy efficiency. Want to learn more? 🚀 We’re excited to share that we have just announced our first major U.S. order for oil & gas produced water as part of our new partnership with Razorback Direct Oilfield Solutions and Services LLC, a company headquartered in Houston that provides water treatment consultancy to oil & gas operators in the U.S. It’s only a little more than one month ago that we launched a new partnership with Razorback, and they've now acquired a containerized pilot system that will be used at a customer site to demonstrate and document the efficiency of our technology in treating produced water to facilitate beneficial industrial reuse.
