On International Women’s Day, we’re celebrating the Women at Topsoe. 💚 Meet Lana Knežević, our first colleague in our series highlighting the incredible women shaping the future of fuels and chemicals for the energy transition. "I joined Topsoe in May 2023 as a Planning Engineer, supporting project managers, improving project forecasts, and ensuring data validation. The three-month onboarding process was a great learning experience, and starting alongside two other newcomers made the transition easier. By summer, I was already managing projects, contributing to Topsoe’s strong 2023 performance. In 2024, I took on more responsibilities, overseeing critical reports and KPIs for key stakeholders. In March 2024, our team moved from Global Supply to Finance, shifting our focus to cost control. This change strengthened my collaboration with Business Finance, enhancing data analysis efforts. I’ve worked on 80 projects, opened 40, and developed key KPIs and dashboards to improve reporting. Working with the BI team, I helped create user-friendly dashboards for better accessibility and insights. As I prepare for maternity leave in March 2025, I’m focused on handing over projects and refining cost and man-hour forecasting. I’m grateful for my journey at Topsoe and excited for new opportunities upon my return. Outside of work, I love planning vacations, taking walks with my husband, going to the gym, cooking, baking, and exploring new places. With a baby on the way, I’m embracing this exciting new chapter!" #WomenAtTopsoe #GoSolve

Look to Sweden for good news Liquid Wind will develop a new e-fuels project in Sweden together with Övik Energi AB Energy. The new facility is planned to produce no less than 100,000 tons per year of e-methanol. As a partner to Liquid Wind, we cheer big time on this exciting project. 🎉 e-methanol is projected to be a key contributor to decarbonizing the maritime sector. The International Maritime Organization’s targets include e-methanol to make up 8% of global shipping fuel demand by 2030 (announced pledges scenario).
