To us, this means comprehensive training on new products, ensuring a deep understanding of their specific features and applications. His insights and expertise are invaluable, and as you can see, everyone was engaged and attentive! 👣🏆 STEPtember challenge: we have a winner! 🏆👣 334km – the distance from Denmark’s most northern point in Skagen to the German city Flensburg – that’s how far our colleague Siska Jørgensen has walked during the STEPtember challenge. 🌍 That’s pretty impressive! At Mermaid Medical, we love a bit of (friendly) competition, and our annual steps challenge is a great example! Throughout September, our colleagues across various offices have put on their most comfortable walking shoes, perhaps a pair of sunglasses, and hit the pavement to get some steps in. The approaches have been different, but the results have been fantastic! Some have taken longer walks with their dogs, others made it a family activity, while some enjoyed the sunny hills of Southern France - perhaps the latter was exactly what motivated Siska to achieve such amazing results. Congratulations on the win, Siska! We all hope you enjoy the gift basket, and that your feet aren’t too tired! ☀️ #weareone #stepschallenge

We ❤️ World Heart Day! On Sunday, September 29th, it’s World Heart Day, a global initiative established by the World Heart Federation (WHF). This important day raises awareness about cardiovascular diseases, their prevention, and the importance of heart health - something that’s very close to our hearts! At Mermaid Medical, we are proud to collaborate with talented partners in cardiology, staying up-to-date on the latest advancements to enhance patient care. Our colleagues are our most important asset, and their health and well-being are important to us. It’s no secret that tobacco is a significant contributor to health-related issues, and we are proud to promote a smoke-free work environment. Physical activity is another key factor in reducing the risk of heart disease. According to WHF, 150 minutes of moderate activity per week can lower this risk by 30%. We understand that our colleagues have different preferences; some like running, others prefer rowing, and some enjoy chasing a handball with their teammates. To support these varied interests, we provide financial assistance each month to help cover costs related to any sports, fitness, or exercise-related activities, ensuring everyone has the opportunity to stay active and healthy in a way that makes their heart happy - in more than one way. #worldheartday #cardiology #weareone P.S. 🏃♂️ Mission: Incredible 🏃♂️ Our colleague, Gavin Leonard, has dedicated the month of October to raising funds for Prostate Cancer UK, and we’re excited to share his inspiring mission! Gavin is taking on the incredible challenge of running 5km every day, which means by Halloween, he will have covered over 150km—all in support of those facing some of life’s toughest battles. 🌐 #CIRSE2024 - it's a wrap! 🌐 We had some amazing days in Lisbon, and want to give a massive thanks to everyone who stopped by our booth - we truly enjoyed connecting with each and every one of you!
