NGI A/S
Produktion af automatmaskiner
Hygienic solutions based on in-depth partnerships and developed through state-of-the-art engineering
Om os
NGI was founded back in 1972, as Nordjysk Gummi Industri by manufacturer and engineer Knud Nygaard. The company manufactured rubber and metal compounds - especially in stainless steel, which was used in the food and pharmaceutical industry, among other things. Due to increasing sales on the export market, Nordjysk Gummi Industri changed its name to NGI. In 1990, NGI moves to the current locations Virkelyst 5 in Nørresundby to get more space. Today, NGI is a highly specialized niche company that supplies hygienic components such as levelling feet, castors, bearing housings, etc. to machine builders and brand owners around the world. In 2008 a generational handover was completed, so the North Jutland growth company today is being managed by Jan Nygaard, the son of the founder. In 2018 the Habasit Group acquired the majority stake in NGI – being part of Habasit’s global network NGI will be able to expand its market coverage and product portfolio at an accelerated rate. In 2018 in accordance to our vision, NGI Hygienic levelling system became NGI Hygienic Components, symbolizing the expansion of our previous product range, changing from a single product segment, into a new uniqe assortment of high quality certified hygienic components. Our customers can now at NGI source several different certified hygienic components for their machinery and equipment. NGI will continue to add new hygienic components to its growing portfolio. NGI plans to continue the positive development and to exploit the significant growth potential at an international level. Customers and suppliers can look forward to a continuation of the company’s quality and service level and a further professionalization of its operations.

”Two heads are better than one." ⬆️ This idiom is a double-edged sword. Here’s why: It holds a profound truth in searching for problems, however, the more heads, the more problems are often found. Yet, as Tomas Hecht Olsen wisely points out, the magic happens when we work in pairs. 🔹 At NGI, we try to balance collaboration and creativity. By working in pairs, we can preserve the uniqueness of wild ideas often stifled in larger groups. 🔹 We recognize that innovation thrives in the union of diverse minds. 🔹 Embracing this synergy, we nurture breakthroughs and celebrate the brilliance of individuality.
