The Novo Nordisk Foundation CO₂ Research Center's mission is to develop new science for CO₂ capture and CO₂ conversion.

Om os

The Novo Nordisk Foundation CO2 Research Center – CORC – is the world’s first interdisciplinary research center aimed at developing novel knowledge and technology that can be used to capture and recycle carbon dioxide (CO2) to replace fossil carbon and fossil fuel‐intensive processes with sustainable, CO2‐based technologies. CORC is based at Aarhus University and has a mission‐oriented focus, that will pursue distinctively collaborative approaches between the chemical and life sciences. The center will connect university‐based research with open‐science platforms for innovation with industry partners that works to develop new science and early technology platforms for mitigating CO2‐based climate change at scale. The activities will focus on the full value chain and bringing together world‐leading research in capture technologies, chemical CO2 conversion, and life sciences CO2 conversion. Thereby, the center will strengthen Danish industry competitiveness and enhance the impact of the science developed.
