https://lnkd.in/df5xmSPv A few weeks ago, Petjes World was lucky to meet up with Waste Free Oceans and Plastix, who is also a partner of Waste Free Oceans. Like Petjes World, Plastix is located in Denmark and they make plastic pellets from old fishing net trashed in the oceans. We had some inspiring meetings and a visit at Plastix' location looking into what can be made from marine litter. Perhaps one day Petjes World could make a product of recycled plastic from marine litter... ♻ 🌍 🌊 🐠
🌍 It's always inspiring to reconnect with old friends and deepen the impact of the work we do together! Last week, we had the pleasure of traveling to Denmark to meet our longstanding friend and Waste Free Oceans Ambassador, Søren Gade, former MEP and current Speaker of the Danish Parliament. It was a fantastic opportunity to bring two of our key partners along— Plastix A/S and Petjes World—to discuss how collaboration can drive the circular economy forward. During the trip, we also had the chance to visit the Plastix A/S site, where we saw firsthand the incredible work they are doing in transforming fishing gear waste into valuable resources. Together, we highlighted the importance of strong partnerships in promoting the uptake of recycled materials and advancing sustainable management practices. These collective efforts are crucial to ensuring we continue to push for impactful policy changes and sustainable initiatives worldwide. ♻️🌊 Grateful to be working alongside such incredible partners who share our vision of a waste-free future! Today is also Football t-shirt Friday in Denmark and we did of course do the traditionel photo all together at the Petjes World office. Delphine from our French salesoffice did also participate with a selfie. For each person in a football t-shirt Petjes World donate 500 DKK to the organisation “Børnecancerfonden” supporting the fight against cancer among children. Cancer is not for children❤

In the fight against breast cancer Petjes World has, like last year, donated 3000 DKK (400 EUR) to the Danish organisation "Kræftens Bekæmpelse" (The fight against cancer). Breast cancer is one of the cancer diseases that has the highest death toll. We are happy to help a little trying to bring it down.

Every year a great team of bike riders from Team Rynkeby set out from Ringe in Denmark to Paris, France on their yellow bikes. A 1200 km long ride. They do it for a good cause – to donate money for children with critical illnesses. The tour has been completed every year since 2002 and has grown from 11 riders to become a big charity bike race with many teams and about 2000 riders every year. This year we can proudly announce that Petjes World has donated 20.000 DKK or 2.700 EUR to Team Rynkeby in support of the good cause.

This year we have initiated yet another charitable program as part of our 'Giving back’ project. We have started a cooperation with EAZA, The European Association of Zoos and Aquariums, to help protect and save the wildlife and endangered species. For the purpose of donating money for EAZA, we have created a new product line called ’Nature Friends’ with focus on European animals. With every Nature Friends sold Petjes World donates 0,25 € to EAZA. We hope that you will welcome our ’Nature Friends’, so we can donate a lot of money to EAZA.
