🌟 European Patent Secured After 8 Years! 🌟 We’re thrilled to announce that after years of hard work, we’ve finally secured our European Patent, making our portfolio fully globally represented! 🎉 We’ve been waiting 8 years for this final region, and this is a huge milestone for the Pond Biomaterials team. While we celebrate this achievement, it also highlights a broader issue: Europe is falling behind in the patent race, particularly for climate technologies like biosolutions. National governments and European institutions must act faster to support growth here. 🚀 Our CEO Thomas Brorsen Pedersen discussed this issue with Børsen earlier this year.

At Pond Biomaterials, we take pride in our product and the properties we have achieved with our bioplastics, which can now be used in many different industries. We are an innovative development company and therefore always work on improving our product even further or strive to give it even more properties. In this regard, we have just started a new project in collaboration with Københavns Universitet - University of Copenhagen to enhance the compatibility between nanocellulose and bioplastics. The project is supported by #BiosolutionsZealand II, which is funded by the European Union and Danmarks Erhvervsfremmebestyrelse through Food & Bio Cluster Denmark. Innovation and scaling are key to positioning Denmark at the forefront of sustainable biotechnologies and climate solutions. Therefore, we are pleased with the grant for the project, which shows that Europe has recognized the potential of biosolutions. #biosolutions #sustainability #innovation #bioplastics #foodandbiocluster #KU #biosolutionszealand #Euinmyregion
