Drone-based leading edge erosion repair of wind turbine blades. Designed for onshore, offshore and floating wind.
Om os
We are currently open for delivering drone-based leading edge erosion repair technology to repair campaigns planned and executed in 2025 and 2026. Our automated and drone-based solution is designed for offshore and floating wind, as well for ease of use by regular service teams. Our tech handles onshore campaigns equally well, of course. We develop and deliver innovative technology to wind energy companies, wind farm developers and service companies looking to lead. Our patented drone and robot technology handles leading edge repairs in mere minutes per turbine blade and substantially reduces turbine downtime, as well as reduce both LCoE, CO2 emissions and O&M and derivative costs. As a climate-focused, born-global and innovative tech company we are proud Eurostars, Eureka and EIC Accelerator award winners through Horizon Europe and the European Innovation Council. We are currently open to founder-friendly impact investors. Potential investors can contact us through https://reblade.dk/investors

Inclusive Climate Innovation | Climate Robotics | Climate Tech | Climatebase Fellow | Swiss Institute of Technology | 5x Co-Founder | Speaker, Author, National Geographic Explorer
The 6 most important takeaways from the Robotics Invest panel on The Critical Role of Robotics in Climate Tech, moderated by Abe Murray (AlleyCorp) and featuring speakers Rebecca Hu (Glacier), Frank Kjerstein (REBLADE), and Duncan Turner (SOSV). 🌿 "We can't keep throwing people at the problem." We can't rely on manual interventions alone to tackle the global climate emergency. Robotics is vital to scaling climate action because of the sheer magnitude of the crisis and the imperative to tackle it now rather than in 2050. "Greater productivity and efficiency solves for climate." 🌿 "Robots are taking peoples' jobs" is an incomplete statement. "Robots are taking peoples' jobs and giving them careers." Rebecca and Frank witnessed this firsthand with their clients. Coupling automation with upskilling has led to upward mobility, resulting in higher-paid positions like robotics maintenance, while robots focus on dull, dangerous, and dirty jobs. "It's a win-win." 🌿 "What do you call a climate robot that works?" A great business ; ) Obviously, there's so much more to it, which the panel delved into. It's possible to have stellar unit economics as a robotics startup and even to be margin-positive. Be obsessed with your client's problem. Startups can bring down their OpEx if they can make their robots more general while keeping the same bill of materials, for example. 🌿 "Does your climate robotics startup pass the Mr. Burns test?" Build a product that Mr. Burns (the greedy capitalist from The Simpsons) would buy not because it scales climate action but because it's the best / cheapest / most convenient. That's the key to climate impact at scale. 🌿 "Ok, yes, let's give ourselves a quick pat on the back, but let's not kid ourselves; the climate crisis is absolutely massive." This important point was made at the end of the panel, which placed the session's optimism into context. Entire industries and national-scale public infrastructures need to be completely transformed in the coming decades. 🌿 The only question from the audience focused on using climate robotics in more resource-constrained environments where communities are disproportionately impacted by the climate crisis. There was only time for one panelist to jump in. They suggested that climate robotics ought to focus more on climate mitigation than adaptation because they're optimistic that the worst consequences of the climate crisis can still be averted. [but for whom?] 🌻 My take: Superb speakers, masterfully moderated, and packed full of incredible insights. If only we'd had more time for the question on resource-constrained environments. Also, what is the carbon footprint of climate robotics? Lastly, climate robotics investors (almost exclusively from the "Global North") are deciding which climate robotics solutions get funded. Could we expand the circle and co-create a "Code of Ethics" with investors to help broaden investment decisions on #ClimateTech?
