It has been three years since SproutWorld initiated a collaboration with the Polish State Forests and purchased 1.32 hectares of land to plant a new (SproutWorld) forest.🌲🌲🌲 The first and so far only foreign company to be allowed to do so in Poland.🇵🇱 And two years since a team of SproutWorld people went to the forest to plant new trees and vegetation, together with the State Forest people.  A total of 12.000 trees. 🌳 A few days ago we got the drone picture of how the forest is developing (the trees have already grown to 50 cm.👏) The other two pics are from the planting two years ago, and this message from the local forest people: “Two years after the implementation of afforestation, we can conclude that the planted species, including pine, scrub oak, beech, larch and linden, have taken root, and the growth of the seedlings is even throughout the area. The forested area is developing as intended, and its environmental impact is already noticeable."   The best part of this ... This forest will never have any commercial use. It is only about giving back from where we take. Note; Last year we produced 6 million pc of SproutWorld pencils, which required only 34 trees (1 tree = 175.000 pencils), each of which was replaced by another (FSC certified forestry). This forest will live on for the next 40-60 years until the trees die of old age- absorbing tons and tons of CO2 in the process. 💚🌳 #Reforestation #Sustainability #Bcorp #Carbonneutral #CO2Reduction #Climateaction
