Yesterday, we were privileged to host Linda Kafui Abbah-Foli at TEMcompany. Linda is Senior Commercial Advisor - Water & Environment for the Trade Council of Denmark in Sub-Saharan Africa. Following initial discussions at the Danish Export Association Water Day at GRUNDFOS, we invited Linda to visit us in Aarhus. The visit allowed Linda to gain first-hand insights into our production facilities and meet the team behind our TEMcompany instruments. We are always open to discussing potential collaborations worldwide, and we are particularly enthusiastic about meeting customers and collaborators face-to-face in Aarhus. Ghana is currently facing many challenges with surface water quality, which serves as the country's primary source of drinking water. Increasingly, authorities and key stakeholders are exploring alternative groundwater sources, specifically the possibilities of managed aquifer recharge, especially in regions where surface water cannot be treated effectively. TEMcompany looks forward to helping to provide solutions to help improve this situation. Today, TEMcompany is excited to attend Danish Water Export Day. Emma Nives, Frederik Christensen, and Andreas Mortensen are at the event that brings together the water industry in Denmark to focus on opportunities to strengthen the export of Danish water tech and know-how. The Danish Export Association hosts the event in collaboration with GRUNDFOS. Emma will participate in the discussion panel with the theme "Bringing SMEs to the African continent." As part of the Global Outlook and Africa session, representatives from EIFO, NIRAS, and the Trade Council of Denmark in Sub-Saharan Africa will be discussing how panel members are working to bring small and medium-sized enterprises to the continent, Denmark's past contribution to water projects in Africa, contrasting with today's projects - what is different now, and what the future brings. The event was opened by Poul Due Jensen, CEO of Grundfos, with an introduction by Lina Gandløse Hansen, State Secretary for Trade & Investment, and a Keynote by Durk Krol, Director of Water Europe. From 9-13 December, more than 25,000 scientists from around the globe will gather in Washington, DC, for the American Geophysical Union's annual meeting. Esben Auken and Pradip Kumar Maurya from TEMcompany will be taking the opportunity to join them and present 'TEM for backpackers – A state-of-the-art small coil transient electromagnetic system for versatile subsurface mapping' that features our new TEM2Go. They will also showcase our instruments at Booth 201 in the Exhibition Hall. At almost the same time, 10-12 December, Thue Bording and Frederik Christensen will be at the National Ground Water Association's Groundwater Week in Las Vegas, where Thue will be presenting on 'Groundwater mapping using rapid TEM methods' on Tuesday, December 10. They will also demo our products at Booth 32 in the Exhibition Hall. We have our first results from tTEM and already we can see field-scale variability -- good news for our NIFA USDA research project to understand how #geology controls #nitrate reduction in the #subsurface. TEMcompany has designed this system for easy assembly and operation. And it is fast! In less than three hours, each of our five trainees had a go at collecting data on a 40-acre (14 hectare) field. Here we see linear trends in resistivity at a depth of 7 feet (2 m) that are likely related to #soil and #vadose_zone properties inherited from #alluvial #floodplain deposition. The map can be used to smartly select sites for coring and sampling.

The delegation from PUB included Chew Chee Keong, Director of Water Systems, Aung Aung Myo Win, Deputy Director and Senior Engineer, Jamie Goh. It was fantastic to see them taking control of the sTEMprofiler and quickly understanding how simple the process is for gathering data rapidly and efficiently. We're entering our fourth day of a packed itinerary at the Southern African Geophysical Association (SAGA) conference. Pradip Kumar Maurya is presenting our xTEM instrument, a new dual-moment TEM system with an independent functioning transmitter with multiple receivers. We are excited to see this project's impact on the local community along the coastal stretch of Minjur, affected by seawater intrusion and groundwater over-extraction. 💧 'Officials from WRD’s State Ground and Surface Water Resources Data Centre, along with Danish team, would validate data obtained through the pilot study using sTEMprofiler with real-time data from the wells.
