🎮 Last weekend, Apollo Kino, located in the Ülemiste Centre, hosted Mängude ÖÖ or 𝘎𝘢𝘮𝘦𝘴 𝘕𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵, bringing together gaming enthusiasts, families, and hobbyists for a thrilling night of entertainment. Highlights included the crowning of Bootstrap Island as Estonia's Game of the Year and Risto Kappet’s victory in the Gran Turismo 7 e-sports tournament. 🏆 Visitors also enjoyed live performances, cosplay competitions, and discussions on mental health and gaming. Events like this are an essential part of creating a vibrant, welcoming atmosphere that goes beyond retail. 👉🏼 Here's why entertainment events are important: • Strengthen the sense of community and belonging among visitors. • Offer unique experiences that appeal to diverse audiences—families, teens, and enthusiasts alike. • Provide entertainment and dining options that transform the centre into a destination for more than just shopping. • Attract new visitors and encourage repeat visits, enhancing long-term engagement. By providing space for events like Mängude ÖÖ, the centre supports diverse interests and creates an environment where everyone feels welcome. 🎉 Pictures: Rene Luterus #ülemistekeskus #entertainment #community

At the recent Kaubanduse Kongress 2024, our director, Guido Pärnits, shared his thoughts on the future of Estonia’s economy and retail sector. While acknowledging the current economic challenges, Guido stressed the importance of focusing on growth and development rather than getting caught up in pessimism. He highlighted that Ülemiste Center’s expansion is not just a project for the center, but a step toward transforming the entire Ülemiste district into a more vibrant, opportunity-filled space. 🗣️ “We’re a strong business, and as we grow, we create more opportunities not just for ourselves, but for all of Estonia,” Guido explained. He also touched on the broader picture, emphasizing that economic success is about people. “Money flows where there are people, and our focus should be on opening Estonia to the world,” he said, encouraging businesses to think big and stay optimistic. 👉🏼 What are your thoughts on the future of retail in Estonia? 👉🏼 How can we collectively shape the growth of our sector? #ülemistekeskus #Retail #economy #innovation #linstow

Did you know that there are now 12 thriving beehives on top of Ülemiste Center? 🐝 For the second year, our rooftop is home to nearly half a million honeybees, who produced an amazing 371 kg of honey this season! 🍯 Surrounded by greenery like Ülemiste Lake and nearby meadows, our bees have plenty of nectar to collect. “𝘖𝘶𝘳 𝘣𝘦𝘦𝘴 𝘩𝘢𝘷𝘦 𝘢𝘥𝘢𝘱𝘵𝘦𝘥 𝘸𝘦𝘭𝘭 𝘵𝘰 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘪𝘳 𝘶𝘳𝘣𝘢𝘯 𝘦𝘯𝘷𝘪𝘳𝘰𝘯𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘧𝘶𝘭𝘭𝘺 𝘱𝘳𝘦𝘱𝘢𝘳𝘦𝘥 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘸𝘪𝘯𝘵𝘦𝘳 𝘢𝘩𝘦𝘢𝘥,” says Ülemiste beekeeper Sander Noormägi, noting that only 10% of the bees were lost last winter—well below average. We’re proud to contribute to Tallinn’s growing urban beekeeping community. With beautiful and warm weather you can see the bees in action even now in our live rooftop bee cam. You can find the link to it in the comments below 👇🏼 PS: If you are wondering what we will be doing with all the honey, many of our partners may find it under their christmas tree during christmas time. 🤫 #sustainability #ülemistekeskus #honeybees
