    I made a post on LinkedIn and got a job offer...   This happened to Kerttu, one of our candidates, who recently started a new position with one of our clients. I'm writing this post as an inspiration - sometimes, the courage to express yourself on social media can unlock much more potential than you think.   🔍 LinkedIn is one of the biggest tools in my daily work - and I’d say, for most recruiters - because it allows skill-based searches, role-specific filters and detailed insights. Although we have a large contact base of talented people, majority of candidates hired by our clients come through LinkedIn searches.   Back to Kerttu's story: she didn’t do anything you couldn't do. LinkedIn amplifies posts from unconnected people on your feed if someone in your network engages with them. I saw her post, really enjoyed the style and topics and after viewing her profile, I realized she'd be a perfect match for an open position we had.     Much needed getaway in Greece 🇬🇷✨   Last week I attended a leadership trip with Southwestern Advantage Eesti in beautiful Crete. Had the privilege of meeting so many awesome booksellers, and spent most of my days sharing career advice and doing personal coaching sessions - 30 one-on-one meetings in just one week! One of SWA District Sales Leaders Iskander joked that he doesn’t do that many in a year. 😅   These 1-1 sessions reminded me why I love doing what I do, whether it’s helping young professionals in Southwestern Advantage or recruiting the best talent for our clients at Southwestern Recruitment. The goal of this trip was to prepare sales leaders for the next summer, and I felt honored to contribute by guiding them in their career paths.   Aside from the busy schedule, I managed to take some time to recharge myself. The change of environment and spending time under the warm 30°C ☀️ was much needed. Thanks Bruno Binovskis for the cool picture 📸

    Sales is our specialty 🌟 Not all salespeople are the same, and there are many nuances to consider depending on the sales environment. Here are 5 criteria we always talk through while recruiting sales positions: 🔹Length of sales cycle – Some excel in quick sales, others thrive in longer, relationship-building cycles. 🔹Decision-maker – B2C vs B2B sales can involve different decision-makers and approaches. 🔹Inbound vs cold sales – Working with warm leads vs generating cold contacts requires different skillsets. 🔹Familiarity with the brand and product – Selling a known brand is easier than introducing an unfamiliar or new product. 🔹Price vs quality – Some are good at selling value, while others focus on price-driven sales.
