Paris here we come! The Access to Knowledge for Development Center at the AUC Onsi Sawiris School of Business is getting ready to showcase the MENA Observatory on Responsible AI, which we launched in 2023 with the support of Canada's IDRC, at the Paris Peace Forum's 2025 AI Action Summit. The AI Action Summit is taking place between February 6th - 11th and will focus on the role of AI in shaping the global economy, governance, and addressing the ethical, social, and economic implications of AI. It is this very same goal that lies at the core of the MENA Observatory's mission. We are proud that the MENA Observatory was selected as one of 50 transformative projects from a total of 770 submissions from 111 countries to be represented at the Summit.
