Generations Genetics Labs is thrilled to announce the launch of a new edition of its internship program this summer. This unique opportunity allows interns to gain hands-on experience in cutting-edge molecular and cytogenetic techniques, in addition to exploring case studies and creation of own experiments in the field of medical diagnostics. Interns will be exposed to a wide range of essential and state-of-the-art technologies, including PCR, qPCR, NGS, FISH, and more. Additionally, they will participate in extensive workshops covering topics such as genetic counseling and experimental design, allowing them to dive deep into the various genetic screening and diagnostic tests performed across the lab's molecular, PGD, and cytogenetics divisions. To be eligible, applicants must be undergraduate students pursuing degrees in biology, biotechnology, or related fields. They must be in their junior or senior year with a minimum GPA of 3.0 and have completed courses in genetics, molecular biology, and cell biology. Responsibilities: Provide administrative support to the lab by receiving and storing lab samples. Enter and file patient data and archive patient files. Scan and upload and store patient files on system. Answer and direct incoming phone calls, emails, and inquiries to the appropriate departments. (Call Center Duties). Reply to patient inquires and be proactive in fulfilling patient needs. Follow up on Lab results and send finalized results to patients. Upload patient files on System.
