Scimitar Production Egypt Ltd. is a private oil Exploration and Production (E&P) company at the forefront of thermal Enhanced Oil Recovery (EOR) in Egypt. Since its establishment in 1998, it has built a robust reputation in the production and development of heavy oil from the Issaran fractured carbonate field through a specialized organization and EOR technology deployment. The Issaran field is one of the few fields in the world producing heavy oil from fractured carbonate reservoirs and is the first heavy oil development in Northern Africa stimulated with steam. The field has been producing since October 2001. Over the last several years a number of new technologies have been brought to bear in different reservoir sections of the field. Scimitar Operates under a 1998 Production Services Agreement (PSA) with GPC, which has recently been updated to stimulate further field development.

Scimitar Production Egypt is hiring Geologist to work at Cairo Office. If you have the required qualification and graduate from 2021 till 2023 kindly send your resume to Jobs@scimitaregypt.com Responsibilities: Gather, analyze, interpret and share with the team in studies concerned (Well Correlation, Cross Section, Mapping, Petrophysical Evaluation). Collaborate with the exploration & development team for reservoir understanding and trap styles to define prospective areas. Use G & G software like Decision-Space and Petrel to import and export all types of geological data. Integrate with the seismic interpreter to carry out detailed geo-seismic cross sections and maps. Present and illustrate all types of geological, petrophysical, production and engineering data. Monitor and supervise the of "Formation Evaluation" MWD/LWD Logging Engineers, Wireline Logging Engineers). Describe the lithology of the drill cuttings coming out of the borehole and Oil and Gas shows and monitoring the geological drilling parameters (ROP, WOB & Torque). Correlate and detect Marker Horizons, fault cut & Casing Point determination. Quick Look Log Interpretation (GR, Resistivity, Density, Neutron, Sonic, Formation Imaging ......) Prepare all types of Geological Reports. And well proposals. Communicate and integrate with other reservoir and production teams. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree of Geology or higher degree. English Proficiency: Fluent Level of Experience: from 0 to 3 years of experience Main Competencies: Good geologic sense both in surface and subsurface geological tasks. Good user of Landmark and Petrel. Good knowledge in 3D static model by integration of all G&G relevant data (geological, seismic interpretation, petrophysical, core analysis, fracture imaging…etc.) Attention to accurate details. Highly motivated, good team player with ability to work with multi-disciplinary professions. Multi track mind, creativity, and good problem-solving skills. Organizational and time management Skills. Ability to work under pressure. Excellent using Microsoft office.
