It has already been one month since Allyiz's #PaymentNomads24. I'm still thinking of all the great conversations we had: from the challenges of global payment orchestration, to the increasing challenges of balancing CX, acceptance rate and fraud reduction, to NGOs being targeted by cardsters testing their stocks, etc. One thing came out as very obvious to me: we can't rely only on our existing tech stacks and data. There is a need for more information to be collected by merchants and their fraud team, and it is increasingly important to pass as much as possible to issuers to avoid friction. More than knowing what a customer buys, how he pays, and how they're expected to behave as they navigate a website, the emergence of AI-powered fraud tools will certainly lead to powerful behavioral deepfakes, weakening behavioral-centric fraud platforms. Knowing which device is used will remain key, but it will become increasingly important to know WHERE an interaction is originated from. This crucial datapoint can make a big difference against cutting-edge AI #fraud tools by providing #antifraud teams more objective data to detect suspicious transactions and investigate them. #fraudprevention #frauddetection

Just got back from an incredible experience at the third edition of Payment Nomad Allyiz in Palma de Mallorca! 🙏 Huge thanks to Nicolas Vedrenne Son Nguyen and the amazing Allyiz team for inviting me to this event. Not only did I get to meet some beautiful people, but I also had the opportunity to learn from experts who are reshaping the future of payments. Special thanks to the inspiring speakers Edurne Pasaban and Ousman Umar. Edurne is the first woman to climb all 14 of the eight-thousanders and Ousman founded NASCO Feeding Minds, changing the lives of 66K people in Ghana.
