BAAS is an architecture, urban planning and interior design studio formed by an expert team of architects and designers who work along with an extensive network of highly-specialised consultants. Founded in 1994, thanks to the many projects developed throughout these years the studio has gained vast experience that has earned it a host of prestigious Awards and coverage in specialist journals. The work carried out at BAAS strive to meet and solve, simply but also sophisticatedly, the complex requirements that each project lays down by constructing useful and appropriate buildings to a high technical level and without eschewing the expressiveness and emotion that the finest architecture is capable of transmitting. Architecture that advocates the continuity of tradition and context whilst fully committed to respecting the environment.

El Tanatorio de León (2001) fué uno de los primeros proyectos de BAAS arquitectura, realizado en colaboración con Josep Val. El proyecto intentaba recuperar una cierta espiritualidad para este tipo de equipamientos, gracias al simbolismo de su forma ("una tumba de tumbas") y a su cubierta inundada que reflejaba el cielo como una alegoría del "mas allá". CONCRET chair and bench by BAAS arquitectura x Escofet 1886 "Our intention is to revise the romantic bench in order to make the most of comfort, kindness and ergonomics of curvy lines, without giving up on the hardness and resistance that materials like concrete bring. We wanted to transmit a feeling of great lightness, in contrast to te weight that is always associated with concrete. This is why, the Concret section is like a beam which is capable of covering a big distance without any points of rest. En esta obra de #Barcelona, aplicamos con éxito nuestro hormigón HAC para rellenar algunos sistemas estructurales de alta complejidad y con altos requerimientos estéticos, como los pilares "lambda" encofrados con fibra de vidrio. Healing on the spot: Day Clinic near Barcelona by BAAS arquitectura + CASA SOLO Arquitectos >> https://lnkd.in/d2F_6vgt Granollers is a small town around 25 km north-east of Barcelona. Until recently, people with the disease had to travel to the Catalonian capital for their long-term treatment, often every day. To eliminate this additional burden, the regional government decided to set up a network of day clinics. Patients can now receive radiotherapy and haemodialysis there close to where they live. Because the building for the day clinic is located in a narrow street, the first floor is set back in the entrance area. This expands the street space and creates a small forecourt. It is intended to make it easier for patients to access the clinic. The design of the facade also creates an inviting and less sterile atmosphere than is often the case in healthcare facilities. A finely structured latticework of light-colored bricks alternates with deep pillars between which the windows sit. From the garden of the neighboring hospital in Granollers, there is direct access to the first floor of the day clinic. Although the two institutions work independently of each other, the proximity is nevertheless an advantage. El #edificio de #oficinas #Pallars180, construido por COMSA Corporación, ha sido nominado en algunos de los #premios más prestigiosos de #arquitectura en España y Europa, incluidos los EUmies Awards 2024, la XVI Bienal Española de Arquitectura y Urbanismo, y recientemente, también el Brick Award 24. Pallars 180 es un edificio de 8 plantas sobre rasante y 2 plantas bajo rasante, estas últimas destinadas a aparcamiento. El edificio se escalona en varias alturas, creando diferentes terrazas, y cuenta con una zona ajardinada para uso privado. La fachada de #ladrillo, donde las juntas de mortero de cal se integran con la #cerámica, no solo aporta uniformidad estética, sino que también refleja calidad y atención al detalle. Además, el proyecto homenajea el #legadoindustrial del #Poblenou, y es un testimonio del compromiso de #Barcelona con la #innovación y el #diseño #urbano #sostenible. Pallars 180 has been nominated for some of the most renowned architectural awards in Spain and Europe! The EUmies Awards 2024 and the XVI Bienal Española de Arquitectura y Urbanismo were the first awards that pre-selected this landmark that blends past and present. A few days ago, the Brick Award also shortlisted Pallars 180 as an outstanding example of brick architecture. This office building located in the 22@ district pays homage to the area's industrial heritage and harmonizes effortlessly with its surroundings. Light yet vibrant, it's a tribute to timeless charm with a modern twist. H&M and Omya are headquartered in the building.
