🤝 Introducing the Project Partners: The Università degli Studi di Torino (UniTo) is one of the largest Italian Universities, with about 80.000 students, 3.900 employees (academic, administrative and technical staff), 1.800 post-graduate and post-doctoral research fellows. Research and training are performed in 27 Departments, encompassing all scientific disciplines except Engineering and Architecture, offering excellent opportunities for Italian and non-Italian academic staff. As for internationalization, UniTo is involved in about 600 cooperation agreements with institutions all around the world, including joint educational programs at undergraduate and doctoral level. UniTo manages roughly 500 projects per year, both at the national and international level. 🤝Introducing the Project Partners: Flamma is a privately held Italian back founded by Dr. Marco Maria Negrisoli in 1950. The Negrisoli family has been running the company since its foundation. Today Flamma is an award winning CDO which provides a stable and reliable supply chain for Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (APIs), New Chemical Entities (NCEs), Registered Starting Materials (RSMs) and Key Intermediates for the pharmaceutical, biotech, cosmetic and nutraceutical industries. Flamma Group consists of 4 manufacturing sites, all operating under cGMP: •          Flamma S.p.A. located in Italy and based on 2 sites, Chignolo d’Isola (Bergamo), where is located the headquarters and Isso (Bergamo). •          Flamma Honkai, located in Dalian (Liaoning province, China). •          Flamma USA (Malvern, Pennsylvania, USA). Although Flamma has a great experience in Amino Acids and associated derivatives, begun in 1950, the company has gained a strong know-how in pharmaceutical manufacturing to provide a variety of intermediates and APIs. This involves the application of a wide range of chemistry, thanks to the implementation of specific technologies, such as cryogenic capabilities, continuous flow technology, hydrogenation and carbonylation. Atraerá inversiones en innovación en las regiones menos desarrolladas de la #UE con importantes recursos geológicos o potencial de recuperación de materias primas. Su meta: fortalecer la capacidad de suministro sostenible y la circularidad mediante un Meta-Hub interregional. Este MetaHub se centrará en 3 cadenas de valor críticas para #Europa: ⚡ Energía eólica y movilidad eléctrica 🔋 Materiales para baterías 🪨 Metales y REE para microchips Durante el viaje, visitamos los laboratorios de TUKE ( Technical University of Košice ), y conocimos de primera mano sus avanzadas instalaciones de análisis y procesamiento de materias primas.
