Sobre nosotros
Our research is directed towards the development of nuclear fusion as a future energy source. We focus on the numerical modelling of experiments in magnetically confined fusion devices in preparation for ITER operation. Our overall objective is to enhance the modelling capabilities by code development, validation, integration and optimization, with the ultimate goal of helping improve the performance of ITER and future fusion reactors.

📢 We are pleased to announce the call for nominations for the 2025 EPS - PPCF Sylvie Jacquemot Early Career Prize, in collaboration with the Plasma Physics and Controlled Fusion (PPCF) journal published by IOP Publishing. 🏆 This prestigious prize recognises outstanding early-career plasma physicists and is named in honour of Prof. Dr. Sylvie Jacquemot from the Laboratoire pour l'Utilisation des Lasers Intenses (LULI) at the Ecole Supérieure Polytechnique in France. 🌍 Eligible nominees are persons of any nationality, based in any country, who have made a substantial contribution to plasma physics and who, on January 31 2025, have less than six years of work experience following the award of a doctoral degree or, in case they do not possess a doctoral degree, less than ten years of experience in full-time research. 📅 The periods of eligibility can be extended to account for career breaks, with documentary evidence provided. Nominees and nominators do not need to be members of the EPS, and self-nominations will be accepted. However, nominees and nominators cannot be current members of the EPS Plasma Physics Division Board. 💶 In addition to receiving a prize of 1,500 EUR and a certificate, the winner will be invited to give a talk on their work at the 51st EPS Conference on Plasma Physics, taking place in Vilnius, Lithuania, July 7-11, 2025. ℹ️ For more information, please see: https://lnkd.in/dV2vaJdk 🗓️ Submit your nominations via this typeform link by Friday, 28th of February 2025: https://lnkd.in/d7VBmRU3 📧 If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us by email at epsjacquemot@bsc.es.
