Opus Remote Sensing ha instalado un revolucionario sistema para la medición remota de las emisiones reales de los vehículos en el peaje de Irún, en la frontera de Euskadi con Francia. Se trata de un hito tecnológico sin precedentes. Es el primer sistema de este tipo instalado en un peaje de carretera, con conectividad #5G de MASORANGE para el envío en tiempo real de los niveles de emisión reales de cada vehículo. La instalación se ha realizado junto a BIDEGI GIPUZKOAKO AZPIEGITUREN AGENTZIAAGENCIA GUIPUZCOANA DE INFRAESTRUCTURAS SA, en colaboración con la Gipuzkoako Foru Aldundia - Diputación Foral de Gipuzkoa . Este sistema podrá revolucionar el control de las emisiones del tráfico en un paso transfronterizo estratégico para la región. Entre otras aplicaciones, permitirá identificar camiones potencialmente manipulados y emitir alertas en tiempo real, así como implementar sistemas de “pago por contaminación” más justos y selectivos, premiando a los vehículos más limpios y tarificando a los vehículos más contaminantes. https://lnkd.in/ejG8fDAX Interesting to finally see the technical report that Ricardo’s vehicle emissions team has been supporting the research on for the past 5 years on behalf of Defra and Transport Scotland. Whilst the conclusions about SCR retrofitted bus fleet performance isn’t what we’d hope for as air quality practitioners, the findings re-emphasise the need to follow the evidence and demonstrate how important it is to validate the ongoing performance of any air quality mitigation measure. Credit must go to Transport Scotland and the Energy Saving Trust for contracting Ricardo plc to undertake the first remote sensing studies of bus retrofit emissions performance in 2019, and for following the evidence which has led to this report. Congratulations also to the Ricardo team who have led the remote sensing field studies, data analyses and interpretation that have informed the development of this report and associated conclusions with our technology partner Opus Remote Sensing.
