Agradecemos especialmente el esfuerzo de todos nuestros colaboradores y de los profesionales que trabajan incansablemente en el terreno, y reafirmamos nuestro compromiso con las personas afectadas, las comunidades y la recuperación de los territorios impactados. ______ In these times of great difficulty, we want to express our support and deepest condolences to everyone affected by the devastating impact of the DANA in Spain.   Our priority remains the safety and well-being of people, which is why we are focusing our efforts on supporting colleagues at the Quart de Poblet plant who have suffered personal and material losses.   We are also directing material and financial resources to provide support as needed through the CEOE Foundation, and we stand ready to assist institutions, authorities, and social organizations requiring our services.   We extend our heartfelt thanks to all our collaborators and the professionals working tirelessly on the ground, and we reaffirm our commitment to the affected people, communities, and the recovery of impacted areas.

☀️ This week we visited the construction sites of Trévago I and II, the solar parks that will grant the supply of green energy to cover the electricity consumption of all our operations in European territory for the next 10 years, marking a key milestone in our decarbonization strategy.   The construction of these solar parks developed by Bruc Energy is progressing well. Through long-term renewable energy purchase agreements (VPPAs), we are moving towards cleaner, more efficient operations while driving economic and social development in local communities.   Trévago I and II exemplify our joint commitment to innovation and renewable energy. 🌍 Today, on World Environment Day, we are proud to announce another major milestone in our sustainability journey. Our near-term science-based emissions reduction targets have received approval from the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi). After a landmark year featuring the launch of the industry's first electric tunnel kiln and a dedicated Circularity Roadmap, we’re reinforcing our commitment to climate action. We've pledged to cut absolute scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions 42% and scope 3 GHG emissions 25% by 2030 from a 2021 base year. SBTi recognizes our scope 1 and 2 targets as aligned with the 1.5°C trajectory, crucial to mitigating the most severe climate change impacts. 📣 Roca Group ensures renewable energy supply for its European operations for the next 10 years This initiative will result in a reduction of over 50,000 tons per year of CO2 equivalent emissions from the group’s electricity consumption thanks to a renewable energy purchase agreement (VPPA) spanning from 2025 to 2035. This agreement is tied to new solar plants currently being developed in Spain, which are expected to generate 120 GWh of clean energy annually. At Roca Group, we continue progressing in our decarbonization roadmap with the ambition of becoming net-zero by 2045. Since 2018, we have already reduced our Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions by 39%.
