The importance of good quality maintenance.. We recently had a customer telling us the radar has an issue and the picture was shifting on the display. When we have a fault like this, the 1st thing we always do is open up the top unit and do a physical check, it's evident on this picture the gears have been over greased, and this grease has got onto the slots on the black disc, there is a small pcb with a sensor (bearing pcb,) this counts the slots to create the 360 deg picture, if any of these slots are blocked they won't let in any light so the picture will jump, and if to much grease or dirt radar will do one turn then go into standby and alarm condition.. So if any one decides to apply Grease don't go so heavy with the grease gun! and keep away from this very important black disc..
