At SOLAR MEMS we are attracting new talents and we would like to introduce you through short interviews who they are and how they are working for the company.⁣⁣⁣ 📣 Today is the turn of David Garcia Blasco , who is one of our new process engineers! 🤟🏼🚀 What are your first impressions about your landing at SOLAR MEMS? ☀️ I had high expectations before arriving at Solar MEMS. However, when I arrived, I found a very young and dynamic team in every department. I caught that spirit, so from the first moment on, I was very motivated to fulfill my tasks in the best possible way. What excites you most about your role as a Process Engineer at SOLAR MEMS? 🌐 Process Engineer allows you to learn a lot as tasks change depending on the project. For this reason, you obtain lots of experience and avoid being trapped in a monotonous and repetitive job. Can you tell us a little bit about the projects you are currently working on? How do you see yourself contributing to these projects? ✨ Currently, I am working on the project of developing a SDR (Software Defined Radio), specifically in the hardware design. It is a very challenging project, as RF devices introduce a higher level of difficulty. However, I think that I am being able to contribute properly to this project, as I learned lots of electronyc during my master, which is essential to this project.

Everyone is really nice and you feel like you are one more of the team since the very beginning. I also liked a lot to see that the engineering team worked building prototypes of the different projects, which helps to gain an understanding of all the things that go on when creating a complete system, and not only doing office work. What excites you most about your role as a Project Engineer at SOLAR MEMS? 💫   What I like about my role is that I can be assigned to working with projects or products at any phase of the development or life of them, so I get to learn about different aspects related to design, prototyping, field testing, documentation, etc. This allows me to keep growing as an engineer and continue my formation which is a key aspect for me right now.   Can you tell me a bit about the projects you are currently working on? 💡   I am currently working on the nanoST, the uThruster and doing a version control of the different sun sensors of the company. My work with the nanoST right now consists of characterizing the frequency errors by analysing the power spectrum density of the data collected from simulations. The uThruster is an internal project where we are studying the development of a new micropropulsion and attitude control system based on solid propellent. Regarding the version control, I am updating the documentation with new updates related to the mechanical casing of the sensors.
