💜Energy for Equality: Breaking Barriers Together International Women’s Day is a reminder that the fight for gender equality is ongoing—from the right to vote to equal opportunities, reproductive rights, and the fight against violence and discrimination. Access to resources, including energy, is a key part of this progress. With reliable energy, women can pursue education, access healthcare, start businesses, and build financial independence. Energy opens doors to economic participation, digital inclusion, and leadership. 💡🏥📚💼 But representation also matters. In our fieldwork, we have witnessed how having women on our technical teams can open up spaces where women from the communities feel safe and encouraged to share their needs and perspectives - ensuring that their voices are not only acknowledged but integrated into the project and thus shape their future. At TTA, we see energy as a tool for empowerment, and this commitment goes beyond our projects. GPA Updates🔎 Last week, the Global Platform for Action (GPA) participated in the Energizing Healthcare event by Sustainable Energy for All (SEforALL) in #Nairobi, Kenya. During the session on Humanitarian Settings and Emergencies, we explored solutions for powering healthcare facilities in crisis-affected areas. This roundtable brought together experts, practitioners, and policymakers to discuss innovative models and collaboratively develop pathways for healthcare electrification in #HumanitarianSettings.
