🧬 Advancing AAV impurity characterization At Viralgen, we are proud to lead the way in overcoming challenges in #genetherapy analytics. A recent study, led by our scientist Ana Carreras González, PhD, shows an innovative three-step method using Capillary electrophoresis (CE-SDS) to analyze impurities in rAAV batches. This approach allows us to differentiate between encapsidated #DNA and #proteins, ensuring more precise and effective quality control - critical for the safety of gene therapies. On Friday, June 14th, our colleague Cristina M. presented to the audience on "The Manufacturing of a Hope" where she shared information about our facilities, manufacturing processes and timelines to get #AAV-based gene therapies for rare disorders like CTNNB1 from early stage to cGMP.
