At CDIWork’s high-energy launch event, 83 ALX learners and grads got an exclusive first look at a freelancing platform tailored for Ethiopian and African talent, connecting users with remote jobs at companies in the US and beyond. Early users benefit from less competition, while CDIWork’s unique "C-Coins"—the platform’s in-app currency for job applications and profile boosts—encourages strategic applications and lets freelancers support one another. Attendees picked up insider tips on success, like quick responses, authenticity, and delivering on promises, with proposal-writing training promised soon to give users an extra edge. To spotlight networking, the CDI team turned it into a fun challenge, awarding 100 C-Coins to three winners who remembered their neighbors’ names—coins they can use to apply for jobs or boost their profiles!
