Here’s to another public building being decarbonized in Finland! 🥂 We’re excited to announce our partnership with Imatran kaupunki on a solar energy project at Kulttuuritalo Virta. This 150.32 kWp solar system will generate approximately 120,000 kWh annually—enough to power over 30 oil-heated homes for an entire year. But our mission in Finland is far from complete. Here at the Finnish office, we are passionated about the mission of leading the way, in Finland, towards living on sun and wind forever for free. When we started in Finland in 2016, our goal was to ensure independence from traditional energy sources while positively impacting the community by reducing CO2 emissions and promoting clean energy. Turku aims to become one of the world's leading climate and nature cities, and this project is a step towards achieving carbon neutrality by 2029. “1KOMMA5° Suomi is committed to implementing technologies that significantly reduce CO2 emissions, as our name reflects our goal to limit global warming to 1.5°C. 🏬 Our new research and development center in Berlin has been officially inaugurated! We inaugurated our newest location, where we bring together product development and software. Our developers are working on our "Heartbeat" energy platform in the new TechLab. The platform is a virtual power plant that connects our customers' energy systems. Heartbeat is directly connected to the energy exchange to further increase the efficiency of the systems. At our new location, we are also setting up test laboratories to optimize our existing products. ✅ With the opening of our research and development center, we are creating 200 new jobs. The energy transition can only succeed through intelligent networking and efficient control. As an energy platform for CO2-neutral energy generation, heat, and mobility, we are driving this development forward.
