Kansainväliset osaajat tuovat Suomeen paljon muutakin kuin veroeuroja. Intiassa varttuneen Tarun Sharman mukaan kansainvälisten osaajien potentiaalia ei vielä täysin ymmärretä. Sharma saapui Suomeen vuosituhannen vaihteessa tehdäkseen asiakasprojektia Nokialle – Suomen piti olla vain välietappi matkalla Piilaaksoon. Pian hän kuitenkin tapasi tulevan vaimonsa ja suoritti MBA-tutkinnon Aalto-yliopistossa, silloisessa Helsingin kauppakorkeakoulussa. 🎓 Nyt, yli 20 vuotta myöhemmin, hän toimii Nokia Venturesin operatiivisena johtajana ja pääomasijoitusten asiantuntijana sekä Aalto-yliopiston tuotantotalouden laitoksen johtavana työelämäasiantuntijana. Hänen mukaansa Suomen talouskasvu tarvitsee osaamista, pääomaa ja kansainvälistä ajattelutapaa – juuri niitä asioita, joihin täällä asuvilla kansainvälisillä osaajilla olisi annettavaa. 🌟 Intian tapaiset markkinat voisivat olla Suomelle muutakin kuin osaavan työvoiman ja uutterien veronmaksajien lähde, hän sanoo. 💰 Kansainvälisillä osaajilla on maailmanlaajuisia verkostoja, ymmärrystä eri markkinoista ja niiden kulttuureista, sekä he katsovat Suomen vientivaltteja muualla varttuneiden näkökulmasta. ”Minulla on täysin itsekkäät syyt haluta Suomeen talouskasvua. Finland ranked the happiest country in the world for the eighth year in a row. 8️⃣ Leaders, especially in Asia, are eager to learn how work-life balance and leadership differ in the happiest country. They are looking for alternatives to hierarchical leadership styles—and a reasonable alternative doesn't come from the United States but rather from Finland. 🇫🇮 We asked Laura Sivula, who leads Aalto EE's international sales and the Singapore office, why Finland raises interest among leaders, especially in Asia but also globally: 📚 The Finnish education system is internationally renowned, and it's also one of the factors behind the happiness of Finns identified in the World Happiness Report. "Our education brand is absolutely incredible worldwide." ⚖️ In many Asian countries, leadership culture remains hierarchical, and work has a dominant role in society and lives. There is a growing interest in alternatives that do not stem from the culture of overachievement but rather the Finnish culture of balancing work and leisure. Liitola has deepened his leadership skills through the Global Leader program. “I decided to bring up the idea of further training with my supervisor when we began the process of updating Elomatic’s strategy. I have a technical background, and I felt it would be valuable to strengthen my leadership skills to better support our strategy work. The program included exactly the elements I wanted to develop in my skill set. “In strategy work, the skills I acquired were immediately useful, but naturally, the influence of such an extensive training program also extends to many other aspects of my daily work. It’s also worth noting that training boosts work motivation.
