Last week, Tiphaine Ricoup and Guillaume KLEIN took our Marketing & Communications team – Suvi-Pilvi Tähtinen & Marthe Dehli – and our SVP, Sustainability & Technology, Kim Sjödahl, on a fantastic tour to visit customers and partners in the beautiful Nantes region 🇫🇷   It is essential to us that our employees are connected to our customers' needs and wishes. Visits like these help us build strong, mutual relationships 👷♀️👷♂️   A big thank you to our hosts for sharing their time and showing us around their factory floors. We take pride in the expertise and dedication of our team members 🤩 Meet Joni Piispanen, line operator at our Joensuu factory. What was just supposed to be a summer fling of a job for Joni, a trained electrician, turned into a 15-year-and-counting career at Exel. His skills with both pultrusion lines and people have earned him the role of troubleshooter extraordinaire, with assignments in our factories in both USA and India to fine-tune machines and share his knowledge with other Exelians. 📸 When he's not on the factory floor, Joni’s passion for photography keeps him busy. We’re especially proud that our VP of Technology, Professor Eric Moussiaux, contributed to this book, writing about the history of pultrusion, a manufacturing process that has played an important role in shaping modern composites. 💬 “It was an honour, a privilege, and a pleasure to write ‘the story of pultrusion’ for this book. Reflecting on over 70 years of pultrusion and gathering historic pieces together made me proud to have been a little part of that journey," says Eric.
